Default Help Please!

I need to exercise that I know, but I am due to have a total knee replacement but not sure when so right now I can't walk, run-lol jump or anything else. I can use my tony little gazelle for a little while. My right shoulder has the rotator cuff ripped and waiting for surgery on that also. Our town pool is closed for the season. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi
I have been LC-ing for a year now and have not done any significant exercise. Exercise will help the weight loss, but you will still lose without it. Once your knees are better, you can reassess the situation.

I would youtube low impact exercises. I'm sure there are plenty that you could do with medicine ball, yoga ball, etc. that don't require impacting the knee.. That really sucks about the pool. That would have been perfect. There's only ONE in the ENTIRE town? High school's and all?

Yep I live in a small town and even in the bigger town 15 miles away the pool doesn't open until May! I will do some more checking online about low impact thank you both for the suggestions!

I truly believe that exercise is as good for the body as it is for the mind, so I understand the want to get some in! Pick up some hand dumbells in 3, 5 and 8lbs and do some light upper body work. You can do leg lifts and core work, all while not impacting you knees. Ask your doctor what you can do

Pilates! You will be amazed at how much of a workout you get just working on your core, and how much better you will feel. You can get videos to follow. Good luck with your surgery!
