I am the one cruisin' today.
I am SO HAPPY to be hanging out at this new weight and not creeping up! I have 2 weeks of hormones starting yesterday, so it
may go up a bit yet, but so far I'm stable.
My new diuretics seem to be controlling that!
CRICKET - so glad you are back home and able to do your regular schedule.
I'm happy that Carl has decided to reign himself in and start following a plan (even if it is the basic MAN plan)
He sounds much like Ed. But Ed is not an exerciser - he is active all day long and would NEVER think of doing the gym thing!
But I agree - it makes things so much easier for YOU when the other half is at least cutting back on the junk foods and stuff! Well..to a degree.

HIMI - so nice to hear from you! The weather turned bad for us, too, so I am glad you are OK and not out on the icy roads!
You did good at the buffet - the best you can do with the usual carb-laden foods offered.
And I am sure the increase will drop as the excess sodium is flushed.
I am sorry to hear of your friend's struggles with diabetes. If he is following the recommended diabetes diet, he must change to low carb
now! That recommended diet only keeps one dependent on insulin. It will not help you control ANYTHING. I KNOW this! I saw the cover of a "diabetic" magazine the other days that was recommending DONUTS, of all fricking things!!!!
Lower sugar/fat, sure, but still MASSIVELY high in carbs!
The whole thing sickened me.
The medical community MUST change their views on what is correct for a diabetic!
BARB - I swear the Packer game was over when I posted that..... how weird. I was not watching the game, per se, but it was on in the other room and I saw a posting on the NFL website ---- it said the Packers WON. How bizarre. ---- Congrats on your loss for the week.
You are back in the 80's and I hope this new week lets you see a nice big drop!
KATHY - Our Mexican place has many low carb choices for entrees.
The rice and beans are served on the side, so they are easy to push away onto the other side of the table.
It is sad to see Ed munch away on the basket of chips before we get our food, but I have learned to ignore them. Sometimes I order a little bowl of guacamole, so I can at least eat a little of that before the entrees arrive.
I just eat it with a spoon!

I will be going to my Mom's today. The weather is COLD...only -6˚ right now (regular temp!), but the roads are dry and safe. So I will try and get back online later today to see how we have all fared on this Making It Work Monday! Have a good day all!
