Hi Mike, nice to "meet you" although I've been reading along for a while now. You are the creator and Master of MOMD.

After a day or two of reviewing my WOE I have decided that what I'm following is Wheat Belly. Due to diabetes, I have to keep carbs low. I avoid bread and bread products, pasta, and sugar along with a few other things. I eat mostly protein and vegetables, with limited fruit. So for me, a cheat day will be one in which I give in to bread products, pasta or sugar, unless planned in advance per the rules.

Unfortunately, I am MOMD, still on day 0, working toward day 1.

I think this thread will really help me to stop and think before I indulge...keep me from caving. Help me with blood sugar control as well as weight loss. I hope you come back, Mike, as well as some of the others.

carol, welcome to the best support forum ever. you WILL get there.

Tip- when starting out I wrote out the rules and posted on my frig. I know the rules now so I just keep abridged version on my journal to review every day so I dont miss anything like supplements, or fiber.

Just a suggestion.

MOMD day 3.

I had 2 close calls yesterday. DH made a deli meat sandwich for lunch and cut off a piece and handed it to me. I almost popped it in my mouth out of habit, but instead I ate the meat and threw away the bread. I have not yet reached the point where I can say "No thank you, I'm not hungry!"

Second, DH informed me that he wanted spaghetti for dinner. I think he can sense when I'm in weight loss mode and tries to sabotage me. Well, I zigged and zagged. He got his spaghetti, and I grilled an eggplant and had some sauce over that with a sprinkling of cheese. Very yummy.
