I'm not really in the mood for anything I can't have anymore. A few times I've said to myself "If I were to go off LC tomorrow, what is the first thing I will eat?" And nothing comes to mind, guess thats a good thing! But I allow myself to eat things LC'ers technically can't have to make this WOL tolerable for me, eating a scoop of ice cream or a breaded piece of chicken once a week wont set me off on a carb binge like it will for many people. I don't "crave" anything.

Oh without a doubt if I could cheat I would eat a whole cheesecake or a whole bag of Doritos (and I'm not talking the little snack size bag) What keeps me from doing this is remembering how lousy I felt the first 3 days of induction trying to clear all carbs from my system. The cheesecake and Doritos aren't worth the headaches/nausea. So I would have to say pass me a Ribeye and make it rare with sauteed mushrooms and onions.

"Cheating" per se doesn't appeal to me.... I feel so sick when I eat off plan even by accident. Last time I had a couple of mouthfuls of something with sugar, I was sick for 3 days.

These days I can smell sugar and it turns my stomach. Ditto for salt.

My idea of a splurge would be a big platter of naked chicken wings with lots of bleu cheese dressing - too many calories for me though, which is why it would be a splurge. I'm half drooling just thinking about it!!!

Hey Big Toe

If I ate a can of vanilla frosting and downed a quart of eggnog afterwards...I'd pass out! Man what a sugar rush... You know how to cheat big time. LOL

PS: I'd much prefer chocolate frosting anyway. ;-)

Forget the CAN - I'd likely make a whole batch of butter frosting and eat it - the canned stuff just doesn't compare. I won't do it though but if I would, that's what I'd do. And was that eggnog spiked?

the biggest difficulty for me was giving up bread.

my family love to buy fresh warm uncut bread and it just smells divine, makes my mouth water just smelling it, but I resist all urges, so I guess if I was provoked to cheat, that bread would be my downfall.

I did have a lick of my daughters icecream while on vacation and it was absolutrely disgusting - sweet, sickly and chemically - funny I used to love an icecream (or three!!) on a hot day!

I would have a huge bowl of fruit loops with milk.

Although I do love the frosting and eggnog idea.

I fully intend to drink me some eggnog this Christmas. I have missed it SO much the last three years, and now that I am in maintenance I feel like I will be OK with having a glass or two. It is absolutely my favorite holiday treat

Did you know that it's very possible to make a low carb eggnog?

You know, every year I tell myself I am going to find myself a recipe and then I never get around to actually doing it Is it just as good as regular eggnog? Do you still get that nice thick, creamy consistency?
