Exactly!!

I did push my threshold for starches as I was losing....I think that its the time to do this.

For me, another aspect of maintenance is getting on the scale! If I don't know where I am with my weight, I can't make the right choices for myself.
How can anyone claim to be maintaining if they don't know what their weight is?

Agreed...if I'd kept getting on that scale at least once per week instead of letting it collect dust I probably would not have let myself go for so long.

Daily weights for me. Once a week, too infrequenet for me. It's very easy to get lost in a week.

me too.Lisa. Daily weights.

I'm on a different plan- CALP- but it includes at least one salad a day and LOTS of veggies. After 7.5 years OP- I eat salad probably 29 days a month. I just like salads,I guess. ANd I always have at least one other green veggie with dinner and one with lunch. I think it keeps me full- the protein and fat satisfy- and I like the favors and textures.

The only times I have had a problem with the salads is if I am sick- forget it then- or traveling in a place that does not serve salads or it is not okay to eat them. Then I eat cooked veggies instead.

This IS encouraging! So there is at least one person out there who does eat a salad almost every day. I really do aspire to eat the 2 cup salad that Atkins intended...just not sure I can keep it up every day.

If I lived in Dallas, TX, I bet I'd be eating salad or raw veggies and dip most days. Up here in the great white North, though? Forget it. Not just because it's cold, but half the produce section was shipped in from thousands of miles away. Something that sat on a truck for a week can't be any healthier than frozen veggies, which are usually frozen very shortly after harvesting. It's cabbage, root veggie, and squash season for me.

Yeah, I'm with Kristine on that one although I do indulge in a small salad most days, mainly 'cause DH needs the fibre to stay regular. This time of year, I use mainly hot-house salad fixings - expensive, but fresher than imported. And we use a lot of frozen veggies during the winter months. I make my own salad vinaigrettes usually and vary the herbs for variety - that's pretty much all I need to do to prevent boredom.

I eat veggies daily, but not 2 cups of salad. Sometimes I eat salad, sometimes I don't. I don't force myself at all, just eat the amount I am satisfied with.

I have been maintaining for over eleven years.

Hardly ever eat salad, and only use plants as condiments, for the micronutrients and a bit of interest.

Regulation of elimination, for me, is maintained by intake of animal fats and water. No worries there.

I go thru phases with salad--sometimes a lot other times it's other veg. I'm in the other veg phase right now--lots of cooked spinach, zuchinni, etc.
