Hello Everyone! And hello Mo! I seem to remember you.

Today I was busy with work and totally forgot to go to my PT! I get untrasound therapy on my hips every Tuesday, and I kind of look forward to it as the massage helps. But I missed it today.

I did have a nice spinach salad with smoked chicken earlier. I just had a couple slices of cheese with my avocado dressing for dinner.

OhAmy - Here is my Avocado Dressing recipe:

1 avocado, scooped and smashed
1 Tbl apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup mayo
1 clove garlic, smashed
1 Tbl minced onion
1 Tbl parsely
2 tsp dill weed

You can use the Ranch Dressing Mix instead of all the measured spices, but I like the natural taste of the fresh stuff. The dressing is thick, like a dip (which is great!), and you can thin it out with a bit of water or cream or whatever if you want.

---------

No weight change for me today. As is my usual pattern. And not much else going on. Tomorrow promises sun and warmth, so I may be able to get in the pool!

You all have a great night!

Hi All,

We had a nice warm day and use of the kiddie pool today. The grandkids had a grand time with me all day and didn’t want to leave

After dropping off the grandkids we went and voted

I’m tired! Think I am going to bed early tonight!! Zzzzzzzzzzz

DH wanted BLT’s so that’s what we’re having. I will add a little avocado too.

Your dressing sounds delicious Paulette, I’m going to try it.

Happy HUMP Day, Ladies!

Wishing all of you a totally wonderful Wednesday in every single way possible!

Berni:
So good to see you in here, my friend! And totally my pleasure on updating the ladies on your trek to Disney!

I know you'll have fun fun fun in the land of the BIG MOUSE and Epcot! Been there done that, too many times to count!

Paulette:
Awww sorry you missed your PT yesterday... can you make it up one day this week?

Thanks for sharing your Avocado Dressing recipe!

Glad to hear that you are finally getting some decent weather! Enjoy your pool... What kinda pool you got? Above ground, inground??

It's drier than a bone here... yesterday was 102... yikes! I best get used to temps that high or higher since Imma moving to Phnx when I sell my house and retire...

De:
Did you have all 3 of the grands or just the two older ones? I know they have a fabulous time at your home.

Thanks for the pics & text yesterday!

Hope you were able to go to bed early!

Are you going bowling today with RDH or do you have something else planned?

Me:
SOSAD in all aspects of my life, not a complaint!

Everything is going super duper terrific. Still "like" being on my "stay-cation". We'll see how long it lasts until I start jones-ing for school to start again!

Wishing all of you continued success! Onward, my LC friends!

Good Morning,
I've been keping busy away from food . Haven't start pedaling yet but that bike sure looks cute sitting here all set up. Good habits do take effort. Thank you for the avocado recipe, Paulette . I think it will be good with celery. What is "sosad?"
Have a good day!

Good Morning!!!

SOSAD = same old song and dance. In other words, nothing new!

I’m heading to the gym this morning after I wake up with my cup of coffee. The retired life I do what I want, when I want, most of the time

I like to keep my food pretty simple for myself. Sometimes I have to expand on that for DH cause he doesn’t cook much. Sometimes he’ll go get something for himself while I do my thing. Usually he goes along with what I have, but not always. I wish he’d cook for himself sometimes.

Have a great day everyone. I will check back later

Oh, ok, thx! Sosad . It sounded more ominous than that.

Long from retirement here but I don't do anything before coffee. And sometimes not after coffee either.

Have a nice evening everyone! One week till summer begins!

Wishing everyone a totally FAB-tastic day in every single way possible!

Amy:
Hope you get around to pedalin', it's addictive, well, it is for me! And pedalin' = 'puter time!

at SOSAD sounding more ominous than it is... I think it sounds better than SSDD (same shit different day)...KWIM?

You mentioned that you have a while before you can retire, when is that?

De:
You sure are rockin' your work out and commitment to the gym! I am so proud of you!

Berni & Paulette:
Hope you two get a chance to come in to post and let us know how you're doing!

Me:
Staying busy playing guitar, worshiping, reading, etc. Life is good but I ain't ready to retire YET! 1st in-service day in 52 days!

Anyhoo...
I know my OCD tendencies have EVERYTHING to do with staying committed to my WOE/WOL!

PLUS I refuse to REGAIN b/c I know that eating correctly & exercising are good for my HEALTH!

I totally 💚 love my WOE/WOL!

On that note: Onward, my LC friends!

Jo, so great you are making the most of your summer. Agree, sosad is better than ssdd! Retirement for me---around 15 years.

Wow, so hot, Bernie. Enjoy your time and safe travels.

I will have Atkins' classic bacon and eggs today. Plenty of fat is how I feel well.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday.

Hi Everyone,

We just got back from the community pool with the family. What a great pool for families, water falls, slides, beach entrance, not too crowded. Only people in our community can use it so that keep the crowds down. The grandkids want to go back tomorrow.

Sounds like everyone is doing well

Maybe time for a nap!

Happy Saturday, ladies!

Hope this finds all of you doing well and enjoying your weekend!

UPDATE on Berni:
Berni texted me at 5 am (7 am her time). They were leaving Disney and driving to Chattanooga, TN. She says it's normally an 8 hour trip but with her crew it will probably take 10 hours. They will stop for the night and head to home Sunday morning!

Berni:
So good to hear from YOU! Sounds like you are having a blast! I too 💚 to swim!

I hear ya on no appetite b/c of the heat! I think that's why Imma eating tuna salad as well, it's refreshing!

Wishing you and your fam safe travels home, my friend! We'll stay in contact via txt!

Amy:
Wow 15 years before you can retire, I didn't realize you were so young! You're the baby of our GROUP!

Sounds like you are rockin' 'n rollin' your WOE! WTG, girlie!

De:
That's cool that you've got a nice pool to take the grands to and no crowds! Are you taking 'em today?

And more importantly, did you get your nap in?

Me:
I wasn't able to do my worshiping yesterday due to cloud cover. But that didn't prevent us from being in the mid-90s...

Forecast, according to weather channel online says "rain showers" today and a high of 78. I'll see what my local tv channel says later this morning... We need the rain, so I ain't complaining!

Went to Wally World yesterday after dropping the lil Chico dog at his dad's. Got 4 lbs pork tenderloin on sale for 1/2 price. Will cook that up today; portion it out into plastic containers and freeze. Imma still not sick n' tired of my tuna salad yet!

Working on my w/e "to-do" list today and then I will continue to knit that baby afghan whilst watching youtube videos (and pedalin'), play guitar and read some, of course!

On youtube, I've been watching "Fat Doctor." It's a British reality show about a bariatric surgeon who battles to help that nation's morbidly obese lose weight.

But IMHO, it's better written than our American "reality" tv shows which I feel are "staged" b/c these British shows come off more like documentaries...

Here's the first episode, warning, it's pretty graphic!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc9aRPVo2uQ

Anyhoo...
Staying 100% OP b/c it’s always about the ALTERNATIVE... If I wasn’t following my plan, I’d be unhealthy “Fat Jo” again and that is NOT an OPTION!

Onward, my LC friends!

Saturday!

We were all tired yesterday and took naps! I didn’t take the grandkids to the pool yesterday, their parents did & we met them there. I don’t have them today, but we’ll all be meeting up tomorrow to celebrate Father’s Day. We have tentative plans to go back to the pool in two weeks., meeting up there again.

Today will probably be a chill day. Might go to the store later, we’ll see.

I has scrambled eggs with jalapeño, onion and olives with coffee a few minutes ago. Not sure what we’re having later today.

Have a great Saturday everyone

Hi everyone
It's been a long time since I've looked or participated in Active Low Carbers; so I'm just stopping by to read your posts and get inspired -- I hope. I chose this thread because it mentioned Atkins 72.
See you soon.
