I highly highly recommend tiger nuts (they aren't actually a nut, but a tuber that was eaten during Paleolithic period. An ounce has 120 calories with 10g of fiber and 9 net carbs. An ounce will clear you out the next morning!
Typically i need one unit of insulin for 9 carbs, but with these i never had any additional dose. Maybe it's the resistant starch effect?
The brand i get is in a white bag at whole foods- gemini.
Are those the nuts that are in "chocolate clusters" seen on amazon?

Hmmm.... They are hard to bite into, but then a bit chewy. They taste sweeter than a nut, but pretty nutty.
They sell them as a flour if you don't have great teeth.

Mike- haha, hasn't heard the better sex claim before!
I don't know if they are sold covered in chocolate.
I buy the Gemini brand. It's in a white bag in whole foods, strangely in the snack area where they have kale chips and dehydrated veggies, and stuff (not with The other nuts and nut butters). The only ingredient is tiger nut. But they do also make them ground up as a flour.

Tiger Nuts arrived. Quite pleased, not too tough to chew but tough to eschew. Taste is nutty and similar to pistachio or pecan. Remind me a little of Grape Nuts. perhaps they will sprout? Pkg says soak in water before eating. Brand was TigerNutsUSA

Ah yes, they do taste like grapenuts! I couldn't put my finger on it. I used to love those.
I don't bother soaking mine- it's optional from what I read online. Did they ahem....Make your stomach feel better?

Yeah, but that's not all, those things will grow like mad when planted in a pot
