Smile Irish Sausages

I was so glad to see the Irish Forim, I am not from Ireland but my parents are.
I am so addicted to Irish sausages, I love love love them. I have to drive to New York to get them but they are made fresh and don't have a nutrition value label. Does anyone know if they have carbs in them? I have a feeling that they do. Can anyone help? I would love to know if I can have them.
Michele

Saw your message about Irish sausages, they are good, I agree but they contain cereal fillers such as rusks or breadcrumbs, and are therefore not a good idea when cutting carbs. I spent some time in NJ and used to buy imported Irish sausages in a store in Metuchen, sorry - can't remember the name but it's worth checking out, because it's much nearer than New York! You CAN make a fairly good home-made substitute if you can buy ground pork with some fat included. Just season, add some finely chopped chives if you like the idea, and form into "sausages" or little patties and fry. They're not bad to eat and are probably better for you than the "real thing"!

Good luck, and nice to "talk to you"!

Thank you Janmarre, I will be sure to look into metuchen and I might try to make them myself. I knew they would have carbs but I did not want to believe it.
It was nice to talk to you as well. Good luck.
