Default Allen Carr's book

Hey guys,
After reading a lot of this thread, i just wanted to let you know how i quit smoking. I smoked for over 12 years, a pack a day ++ and thought i would NEVER give up smoking. It was a part of everything i did (driving, going for coffee, talking on the phone, etc). A friend of mine read "allen carr's easy way to stop smoking" and quit - she lent it to another friend, and SHE quit. One by one, all of my really 'hardcore' friends and acquiantances have quit - all by reading this damn book. So i very sceptically picked it up. It cost $8.99 canadian, and i rationalized that i would buy it, because it didn't cost really that much more than a pack, and was considerably less than gum or patches. If it didn't work, i would be right, and could at least quiet the critics of my smoking (my parents and boyfriend) and say i 'tried'. Well, i read it (and smoked like a chimney the entire time - just like he suggests you do while reading it) and on the last page, i put out my last cigerette, and haven't looked back. No guilt, no feeling like i was missing out on anything. It really was easy. That was over 4 months ago. I just wanted to share - it is just a suggestion to try - you don't really have that much to lose by reading it b/c the cost is cheap, and it isn't very long (around 150 pages). Good luck to you!
