Hey All-
Currently in my upteenth attempt at finding a healthy, happy lifestyle. I come from a family of molasses metabolism - we're all overweight - and I'm the only one who has managed to lose some in the past. I'm currently at 110, but was up at 140 before. For a 5 foot frame, I'm not aiming lower than 100lbs.
I went away on exchange for my last year of University and managed to lose the weight then, without the pressures of doing dinner, or the temptation of my family's high carb foods. I'm back at home now, though. . .and I've fallen off the wagon. We could say I've also rolled down the hill, often binging on muffins and ice cream. Utterly unacceptable, and truly disappointing given how hard I worked to lose the weight before.
Anyhow - that's about where I stand now. I'm trying the Atkins plan - I've never actually started a 'plan' before - the weight I lost in France was because I cut out breads, but started running every day, and lifting weights....Hopefully Atkins will work for me.
I stumbled upon this forum and it's provided me with hours of insight and positive support. Thanks for a great stepping stone !!
