Question Butternut Squash??

Just wondering if anybody knows if it is ok to have butternut squash on Atkins, and what is the carb content, Ive heard people talk about Spaghetti squash but have never seen it, let alone tasted it!! (wots it like?)

I dont know but I can tell ya I love DANISH Squash, which I believe is close to the acorn. I dont know if I am allowed to have it either, so if you dont mind I am going to watch your post to see.

Butternut squash is pretty carby. You'll probably want to save it for special occasions. In one cup of cooked cubes, there are 21 g carbs and not much fiber.

I haven't tried spaghetti squash yet, but a lot of people like to eat it like mock pasta with sauce on it. It's a much better carb bargain: about 10 g, minus 2 g of fiber.

Open the carb counter under Low Carb Tools at the top of the page and type in squash. You'll get the carb counts on different varieties and some are quite low.

Its very high in carbs (shame its well tastey) I have just heard you cant buy spaggetti squash here in the uk!! God how deprived are we lol
