Default enough carbs?

I was diagnosed with PCOS last week. I began SPII today and feel great. However, I experienced foggyness after eating a couple of my meals of 15gms of carbs (used oats). She talks about decreasing or increasing carbs if necessary in 5gm increments. How do you know if you aren't eating enough carbs at each meal? By the way I am insulin resistant/burned out adrenal glands, which is the most strict of all the types.

Other than the couple of bouts of foggyness, I have felt great today!! I have known for years (even before my diagnosis) that I do better eating less carbs and more EFA's.

Also, has anyone actually gained weight on this like she warns about?

I was so full all day long. I had to force myself to eat a couple of the meals which was very unpleasant. I am eating a lot of steamed brocoli with each meal. Should I decrease this since all the fiber may be keeping me too full?

I know she says not to count fat grams, which I don't, but how do you know what is a good amount for each meal. Do you just base it on how you feel?

Any advise would help greatly! I am a newby and am dead set on balancing my hormones. For one, my husband and I want to TTC and two I want to be health!

Thanks!
