Question Lost Chart and List of Foods

Please help me locate a chart of allowed protein (meat) followed by a long list of allowed carbs (veggies) below. I swear I thought it was on the ALC website, but I can't find it anywhere

TIA for your help! Getting hungry...need the list.....

Hi Renee

Not sure that there is a list on this site, but for reference you can eat any fresh meat, fresh fish, fresh poultry, eggs, cheese (most are very low carb). Also canned tuna, salmon, etc.

Permitted vegetables are most salad vegetables, and most green vegetables. Steer clear of parsnips, sweetcorn (corn on the cob), carrots, potatoes.

The best way to check out the foods you eat is to join Fitday.com. This will let you keep track of the foods you eat and tell you how many carbs etc you are eating. A simpler reference is to use the carbohydrate counter on the right of this post, second from bottom bullet, to find out how many carbs are in what you are thinking of eating.

If you have not got the Atkins book, then I would recommend that you buy it and read it as it gives a much better picture of the reasons behind why this works and how to get the most out of this way of life and you can not do the same from the various websites.

Every success.

Yep that's it's Karen....I only had two sites bookmarked...so it had to be Atkins or ALCForum...but I had convinced myself it wasn't at Atkins. Duh.

Anne, I do use Fitday...it's awesome isn't it? I just really wanted to see that particular list because of the way it was formatted. My brain processed that information and after only seeing it 2x I had nearly memorized it...but wanted to print it out for my reference.

You guys are the bomb.
