Default Stall as defined here

I know that the guideline says a stall is 4-6 weeks of no weight or inches lost. Assuming you aren't exercising and gaining muscle weight, why would you lose inches but not weight?

The short of it is this. I haven't lost any weight -- literally none -- in about 2 months, but I have lost an inch from my waist and hips in the last few weeks. I'm not exercising; so there is no reason for me to be gaining muscle. I am hypothyroid, which is at least part of why it's been so difficult (as you can see from my overall numbers and fact that I started this in early may). But inch loss without weight loss and without exercising to explain it by gaining muscle? I would say that it's water weight, except that I don't feel like I'm retaining much water.

when we lose our fat cells fill up with water instead of fat. Whooshes appear when the cells finally get rid of the place holders.

(Your body thinks you might need to keep those cells ready for that chocolate cake you want, you know, so you don't starve when you're out on your Mastadon hunt)

Your body is just catching up to what the scale knew already.

I'm not sure I follow you. If my cells are filling with water to replace the fat, then I should weigh the same, and I should also be the same size, no?
