to answer your questions--yes, yes and yes!
Now forgive yourself completely, learn from the experience, and get right back on track.
I went off-program for a whole month last year, and as I ate the wheat/sugar, the whole time, I kept thinking, "man, this is making me sick. It doesn't even taste that good. Why am I doing this?" I was normal and typical in this. Ahh, the nature of food intolerances/addictions.
Think of this as a gift from your body--you've detoxed it from the junk you've fed it for a lifetime, and now it's giving you clear messages about what is bad for you to eat. I think of it like this...we've abused our bodies for years with sugar. That they are still so kind and forgiving and clear in their messages to our brains is a minor miracle, and something to be grateful for. You may even start having mild cravings you can trust--"hey, I'm dying for egg yolks" or "hmm, a spinach salad sounds like a great snack." Sometimes a craving for chocolate indicates a magnesium deficiency.
