Question Liquid sugar twin?

Hi Karen..we don't get "liquid sugar twin" in my neck of the woods..the recipe calls for 1/4 cup [along with 1/4 cup splenda] Can i replace it with blackstrap molasses? and if so have you any idea of appropriate quantities? Thanks.

I'm not sure what recipe you're referring to but 1/4 tsp. of liquid Sugar Twin equals 1/4 cup of bulk sweetener so you can use 1/4 cup of bulk Splenda.

Default carrot cake

karen, its a carrot cake recipe that i cut and pasted from the thread challenge on here, of trying out a new recipe each week! I figured that the liquid sugar twin was perhaps to help with the cake colour.. probably sounds dumb! but having no idea what the stuff even looks like.! so i'll try it with 1/2 c splenda then, instead of 1/4 c each?

I have to make a correction. 1/4 tsp. of Sugar Twin = 1 tsp. of bulk sweetener. So, 1/4 cup of liquid Sugar Twin = 1 cup of bulk sweetener. Serves me right for posting before I'm awake.

Liquid Sugar Twin is a 0 carb cyclamate sweetener made in Canada.

I don't know if you can order it on line. It does have an aftertaste but when combined with Splenda, there is no aftertaste from either.
