Question What did you eat today?

As I await my books to come in, I am just curious what a typical day is for you while following this plan.

Thanks!

So, bear in mind while reading mine, I have not read any of her books yet! I am right now just trying to eat low carb.

Breakfast: egg whites scrambled in olive oil, coffee with half and half
Lunch: Wendy's mandarin grilled chicken salad, no dressing, no wontons.
Snack: 1/2 peach, approx 10 macadamia nuts
Dinner: grilled chicken breast, couple of fries from my DD.
Dessert: Thai Iced Tea using stevia/Purevia sweetener and half and half

Well today my menu was...

BF: 2 eggs, flax bread with butter, and strawberries

Snack: Almonds

Lunch: Yogurt and broth that I had made up

Snack: Cashews

Dinner: Salmon, broccocli with peppers and cheese, cream cheese with pineapple, nuked...

Snack: Ginger Tea

I've also been adding cinnamon before breakfast and lunch which seems to be helping my blood sugars stablize!

I had a mug of coffee early.
Then for lunch, I had a steak and a pork chop.
I sipped limeade throughout the day.

I post my menu every day if you wanna go to my journal and check it out

I have been having trouble with reflux lately.....nausea, pain, belching....but I am trying really hard to follow a lower carb plan, even though some days I just want to eat steamed rice.

Today:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, breakfast sausages, green tea
Snack: nectarine, almonds, coffee with 1/2 & 1/2
Lunch: chicken breast, zucchini sauteed, carrot sticks, 2 tbsp of rice mac & cheese
Snack: apple, peanut butter, cottage cheese

Breakfast: 1 egg fried in butter, smoothie made from almond milk, strawberries, frozen peaches and whey protein powder, coffee with cream
Snack: almonds
Lunch: tilapia sauteed in butter, herbs, large mixed green salad with grated carrots, beets and diced 1/2 pear. (awesome!! no dressing required!)

Snack: this is where I cheated and had a couple homemade gluten free coconut chocolate chip cookies that I made for the kids.
Dinner: chicken bratwurst on 1/2 gluten free roll with mustard, and a cup of mixed salad greens.

It has certainly been easy to stick to this plan with all this heartburn pain I have been dealing with! LOL!

Breakfast: 1 egg fried in 1 tsp oil, 1 tbsp baked beans, bite of natural breakfast sausage (tasted bad so I stopped), coffee with cream

Snack: 1 oz cheddar with 10 pecan nut thins (rice crackers, gluten free)

Lunch: tilapia, sauteed in olive oil and herbamare seasoning
salad with grated carrots and raw beets, diced pears

I have been trying to follow the plan completely as suggested, with a protein, a fat, a carb and a nonstarchy veggie, in the right proportions at every meal and snack. I have to find a way to do this with less food! I am new to this, but here goes...

Breakfast - Eggs scrambled in olive oil with mushrooms, 7 grain toast
Snack - Pistachios, string cheese, raw carrots
Lunch - Salmon, sauteed in olive oil, half a sweet potato, broccoli
Snack - Cashews, celery sticks dipped in a dip I made with mayo, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper
Dinner - Chicken breast sauteed in olive oil, quinoa, green beans, cauliflower.

Any critiques would be appreciated.

Nancy
