floridadad I so understand. I make myself a little treat fairly often for the cravings and I still fall under my carb count. I mix up 2 tb butter, 2 tb peanut butter and a tbsp of jam. I nuke it on melt, its somewhat sweet but the fat and fiber keep me from having to fight unstable blood sugar. My absolute highest carb allowance is 49 so I let myself go up to that on certain days. Maybe the flexibility would keep you from getting too crazy. Snacks like blueberries with nuts and cottage cheese work too.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself playing catch up. Your not behind.
