Default Gallbladder Removal & Now High Fat Issues.

I recently restarted Low Carb/Keto after Gallbladder Removal. Is there anyone else now finding discomfort after eating High Fat Meals ? If so how are you overcoming this problem ? Thanks in advance for your input.

Best suggestion is to work up slowly in the amount of fats you eat. The amount does not need to be high in the beginning as you should also be drawing from your own fat stores, or your "on board pantry" as Dr. Westman calls it until at goal. all the best,

Yes, some do fine, and some don't. And many times its hard to get those that have no problem to understand its not just about digesting fat.
Sometimes its not just that you're not digesting fat, its that you can't handle the bile that steadily drips out now. Its supposed to be reabsorbed in the colon, but for some of us, for some reason its not happening right.

I've been unable to get to low carb or intermittent fasting, even before removal when it was acting up.

Anyway, I finally relented and went on the colestipol at night and its worked wonders. I also stopped high test coffee (now half caff). The two things together has finally allowed me to go where I want to diet-wise. Its been a long 4-year journey and i'm very hopeful that now I can finally get back where I was.
