Angry low carb foods

Hello, I'm new here, (well a few days) and I would like to know if anybody on the Induction had any success with drinking a small amount of alcholol, it is the hardest thing for me to give up, not an alcoholic but like to enjoy on the weekends. Could someone answer quickly the weekend is upon us a nd so is the Holiday. I have already lost 100 pounds on Atkins, but decided to listen to some friends that told me I should change my diet because I was doing it to long. Guess what I gained 14 lbs back, I'm so pissed at myself for listening to them. I was flip flopping around with WW and Southbeach. Back on Atkins now for almost a week but the alcohol is giving me a hard time, last night I went out and had one michelob ultra beer, hope that was ok. I know he says no but it doesn't produce any cravings. help.................

Red- your body will burn the alcohol before it burns fat. So you may experience slow weight loss or none at all. Up to you if it is worth it or not.

I was planning on going drinking tonight. I've haven't had a single drink since I went back on induction 6 weeks ago but i have to go and meet all my boyfriends friends for the first time tonight and I'll need to have a few drinks in me for that. First to get over the shyness but secondly because they're all finished their exams today so they've started drinking already(Its 5pm). I was planning on drinking gin and slimline tonic. Would this be the best choice?

Not familiar with the tonic carbs. Do you use the fitday website? It is all free, you post your menus and it will give you the carb count, calories, fat, etc. www.fitday.com
Judging by your avatar I wouldn't have thought you shy.

Yea shyness is a curse I’ve had all my life. Strangely enough though, as I loose weight I loose some of my shyness too. Fingers crossed it wont be long until I can go and meet new people without the need for alcohol. My avatar is just to remind me why I'm doing this, to get rid of the big round lump on top of my legs

You know I am sure they have diet tonic. That should be ok. You may want to consider diet coke and rum as well.
At one point there was a thread in here about alcoholic lc drinks. Try the search function in general lc or atkins and see if it comes up.
As I recall, martinis are lc, too. (but they hurt!!!! )
