Default Weird Things and Contradictions

On the meal plan recieved from the Montignac site - a lot of juice is recommended - carrot juice - pear juice - pineapple juice - I have always heard that it is much better to eat the whole fruit than a juice - the calories and sugars in the juice are more concentrated and one does not recieve the fibre benefit of the fruit. Any thoughts on why Montignac is recomending all this Juice?

Koko, this is just a guess, but perhaps it's because the vitamin and anti-oxidant properties are more concentrated in juices? I'm not familiar with Montignac, but I have seen a lot of JuiceMan Juicer infomercials.

Just a guess.

Default stop paying for montignac site ;)

I'd stop paying for the site now - all it seems to be doing is contradicting what Montignac says elsewhere.

When cancelling, you should tell them it is because you are disatisfied with the level of service regarding the contradictions their recommendations make with Montignac's own books, and the complete disregard to your own queries. Sometimes people only listen when you stop paying them

Anyway - according to the books, fruit juices, even freshly squeezed ones, have a a higher GI as they contain virtually no pulp or fibre, and I quote from "Eat Yourself Slim..."

Quote:
"...With the exception of lemo juice, it is preferable to exclude all fruit juices from your diet in Phase 1 and eat fruit instead."

Unless you've squeezed the juice yourself, or like me - you are an Odwalla junkie with tons of added vitamins etc, the vitamin content of juice is much decreased.

I am going to do just that - I plan on getting the 4th meal plan since I have already paid for it - but I am disgusted with the confusion of the plans and the (non) service!!!!

Spang,

I just cancelled my membership on the Montignac Web site. Guess what? There is no place to tell them why we quit! There is a field for our e-mail address, one for our password, that’s it, that’s all. They have absolutely no interest in what we have to say! I am sorry, I just can’t believe it…
