Default One week of induction and blew it tonight!

I need help!

I have been lowcarbing since this past Monday and have done pretty well But.....tonight I broke down and had a chocolate bar AND popcorn!!! What did I do? Why did I blow the whole week with just 5 minutes of food?!!! What can I do so that doesn't happen again? (I have husband and kids in house so I can't throw the food away.)

2xlowcarb - when I read your title, my heart just sank. I know you must feel terrible..... I guess the bottom line is, what's done is done and you have to move on. I know, I know, so cliche' and does nothing to make you feel better. But, the only good news is that you've hopefully learned something from your slip....like don't try to fix the kids popcorn when you're hungry, or if you feel like you may cheat go for a walk or whatever the circumstances. There is no taking it back, so just decide to get back on track. In two days time you'll be back in the pink (so to speak). Good luck and I'm sorry for how you're feeling right now. I know that feeling all too well.

I did the same thing! I went out and made a disaster of low carb cupcakes on day 4...gained .5 pound...

Don't sweat it, get up and move on. It's a learning process.

You only blew one night, not the whole week. That's fine as long as you get right back on today. Write down what you said about the five minutes of food. That's what you have to remember--the taste will be gone from your mouth and memory shortly after, but it will stop you from losing weight. After you have been on this way of eating for a while, the high carb foods don't even taste as good as you remember. Your tastes change after about a month. You start craving low carb foods.

Sunny!

Thanks for the replies. I can do it this time! I'm glad to have teh support of everybody out there. I don't get any at home. (Husband doesn't understand and thinks it's funny to come home from grocery store with cinnamon rolls, soda, candy, etc...) I was furious with him when he did that last night. I just went to bed!

Yes, he eats all of that sugar! He is naturally skinny and doesn't gain an ounce. I know the sugar is not good for his health, but he could stand to gain a couple of pounds!

I have yet to start the induction phase - tomorrow. But I can relate with you on some level. I do really well on certain plans, then I blow it. I wish you luck!
