Dinner: Dry BBQ Ribs with Sweet Potatoe Fries

we are going to a Kids fishing Tournament this morning. Leaving the house at 7:30am and the tournament is over at 12 noon. then they will serve lunch. I am guessing burgers and hot dogs until 1pm and then they will have the ceremonies to announce the winners (overall winner gets 100$). The boys are excited. I am thinking about bringing some fruits and maybe some Whole Wheat crackers and some cheese ( we'll bring a cooler) No clue yet what's for dinner

UPDATE:
it is almost 2pm, Tournament is over. Michael caught 1 trout and 14 sunfish, David caught 2 sunfish.
No trophies, since the theme of the tourney was Trout. Most trout for each age category, smallest and biggest. We did get to take home a bunch of trout though.

All is rainbow trout and we took home 6 which we will be throwing on the grill tomorrow for lunchen

not sure about those last ones. I REALLY need to get to the grocery store....TODAY. Out of meat for the most part, and OUT of veggies, other than carrots, cucumbers and radishes. hence the "interesting lunch".

Hi Camelle!!

1/2 cup= 4 ozs of cashews ....is way over our daily limit of 1 oz or one serving of nuts per day. Yup! You need to go food shopping!!

I always keep hard boiled eggs around for when my fridge is low on protein. Also, ind cans of tuna and salmon are good for quick and easy meals.

Another thing that I do is buy and cook it all...2 lbs of chicken or turkey breast cutlets. I make my own marinades with lots of spicy stuff and garlic!! I cut each cutlet into 3 sections as each one weighs about 1 oz...cook it all up on my handy indoor grill....store it in my fridge in tuuperware and this way I always have quick protein.

As cmnLisa says...."Plan the work and work the plan"
