Default Dinner!

What did you have?

I had roasted turkey breast (on sale at the store), broccoli with mustard seed (ate too much of it), roasted butternut squash with frizzled ginger and a little wild rice.

I found a recipe for roasted tomato and red pepper sauce I'll use on some leftover turkey tomorrow for dinner.

I had a big slab of salmon, steamed mixed veggies and Greek salad with some bowtie pasta in it. I didn't cook it though.

Where did ya eat? I recall mention of a Cracker Barrel earlier but that doesn't sound like Cracker Barrel to me.

Had J fire up the grill and throw some chicken on...marinated it in Italian dressing and he threw some hickory chips on the coals for good measure. Had a nice big garden salad with it and 1/2 cup cajun red beans.

I had a chicken breast, stuffed with sundried tomato and feta cheese, wrapped in proscuitto, served with a half ear of fresh corn on the cob and a caesar salad spruced up to include fresh baby spinach with a light drizzle of balsamic vinegar reduction.

It was excellent.

Thats very interesting!! Thanks for sharing this as I didn't know that CALP allows for sugar.

I bought Breyers No Sugar Added Vanilla ice cream the other day...double churned....and it tasted fabulous to me! although I will admit to the fact that 1/2 cup is hard to stick with.

Since DH likes variety we won't be having the leftover turkey breast for dinner, but it'll be part of my breakfast and lunch today and tomorrow.

Tonight we are having grilled ribeyes with Cavender's Greek seasoning, spinach with sauteed mushrooms, leftover broccoli and butternut squash. I mention the Cavender's because it is the best steak seasoning I've ever found.

Dinner yesterday was shrimp baked with petite cut tomatoes and fennel, topped with feta cheese; green salad; 1/2 roll; 1/4 cup blueberries.

Today will be salad, burger, sauteed cabbage, and a peach with greek yogurt.

Yes, so long as your Reward Meal is balanced - 1/3 protein, 1/3 cm (craving reducing) vegetables and 1/3 carbohydrate, you can choose what that carb is from wine to ice cream to a nice bowl of oatmeal (I like oatmeal too!)
