Default Just getting back to the gym..I need some help.

Okay the last time I was LCing I went to the gym and took classes, One day it was mostly low impact arms, next day legs, a spinning class, or a total body 45 minute class (non-Aerobic). It didn't seem to help too much with my weight loss, but it did tone me up pretty nice. Mind you I did this after I had lost some weight.

This time my starting point is 210, the largest I have ever been in my life, even while pregnant. On Monday Oct 22 (a pretty relavant day in my life, any who BYGONES) I decided it's time to get out of my rut and change my life... I have totally changed my eating habits and I have been to the gym at lunch every day this week and done the interval course on the eliptical for 35 minutes each day. I also took karate one night this week as well. I have lost nearly 6 pounds since Monday.

My plan is to get in shape with my cardio work out (on the eliptical machine) until I feel I have more stamina and loose a bit more weight then I would like to add back in a few toning classes... maybe 3 days cardi and 2 toning at first.

Can I get some thoughts on what's worked for others and what you think of my "plan".

Thanks!

hi, perhaps you could include a couple of strength training sessions? building a good muscle base would help you in your day-to-day activities, cardio and increase your metabolism! also, it would break the monotony of cardio machines.
