Question Ab Rocker

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with, I think it's called an AB Rocker? I know I have weak abs - pregnancy, etc. and I also have back problems following a car accident. So, I know I need to work on my abs, but I have to find a way that won't hurt my back. I know that if I have strong abs it will help my back a lot, but it's just finding a way that doesn't hurt my back!

My husband, who is very well-muscled and incredibly fit (he's one of those "gifted ones"), uses an Ab roller type thing, but I find it hurts my back too much - I can barely walk after. However, I saw an AB rocker (?) advertised (used ~ $35, like the ones on TV). I'm just not sure if they are worthwhile?

I'm sure doing something is better than nothing, but I'd really like to find something that WILL work, so I can stay with it! Thanks.

Theresa

I had purchased the Ab rocker. If you are talking about the one that you sit in and hold the handles and sway either which way, then I'm on the same lines as you. But I used it for about a week, gave it a chance, then promptly returned it. Does NOT work. It gives no resistance in the stomach area. And its more meant for an aerobic affect then building muscle and toning. It was also kind of flimsy. Just giving you my opinion. Who knows, it may be easier on you being pregnant. Might be a good thing.
