I'll probably do this one without the raisins and use non-caloric sweetener.

Or maybe this one instead:

This year I'm one of the guests, and my very thoughtful hostess is taking a lot of care to include things I can eat. At dinner in a restaurant recently we ordered espresso martinis. We'd never had them before and she was in HEAVEN. So I'm going to surprise her with a hostess gift of martini glasses, cocktail shaker, etc, and bring the fixings: vodka, kahlua, Baileys and espresso of course. Then I'll make a batch of after dinner drinks for the group. It sounds like a lot of alcohol and carbs but one small glass is satiating to me and it will make me feel definitely not deprived after turning down all the pie and potatoes.

Thanks for that link Judy! Yum.

What a perfect hostess gift Whofan! I think I actually tried one of those once, and (I'm not kidding!) I don't remember the rest of the night. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated.

Its been 3 months since I've drank, I'll hold off for one of those times when I just "have to have it."

BFs family is coming to our house for dinner Thursday. I'm making the Pizza Quiche, ham and pickle roll ups, pumpkin pie and a LC cheese cake. His grandma is bringing salad, all the fixings and dressings. I think I'll have hard boiled eggs ready for the salads too.

For my Moms at lunch, I'm bringing the taco soup and the ham and pickle roll ups. She's apparently having 2 different groups over. My other siblings can only come at supper and I already had plans for the kids to leave after lunch so dinner was out for us. The busy world we live in!

I plan on loosing weight through all this too!
