Talking Hello, from 2nd time around low carber

Hello all!
I am Dorie from Ca. I've been on a low carb diet before and I fell off because well, I'm addicted to food and have no self-control. I'm looking to now make low carb a lifestyle change and learn how to not over indulge as well as get rid of the cravings. I joined the forum because I believe this would be a great way to keep myself motivated by communicating with individuals who are working on the same thing.

Hi Dorie. Hopeuflly your not addicted to food as you have to eat. By avoiding certain foods like Grains, Potatoes and Sugar you may regain control of what, why, how much and when you eat. The reason I say "may" is that you will not know until you give it a try again. I suggest abandoning your previous notions of low carb diet and start fresh, like a beginner. Go learn, Go practice.

You will do well.

Hi Dorie!

I am a second timer. This time I have much more to lose and being older it's not going to be easy. But, I'm so tired of feeling like crap. I've been on Atkins for little over a month and while I haven't lost much, I do feel better.
