Default Brook -- What is "6 in 6"?

Hi Brook,

I see you are new to the boards here...WELCOME!

I read up via your links on your life and progress, congrats on both...you are a wonder woman!!

I have a question, though...what is "6 in 6"? A video? I know you had a "6 in 6" challenge a year or so back on the AD bulletin board...I am tempted to do the same thing here.

So far my exercise of choice has been walking (40-45 minutes)...lots of uphills, now with ankle & wrist weights. (I have slacked off for 2 weeks and need to GET BACK!! Starting TODAY.)

But I am thinking ahead to rainy weather when I will have a hard time getting my 45 minutes of exercise done outdoors.

How much time do you invest in exercise daily? Is it all video? Share, please, if you have the time.

Again, WELCOME!

Paula in San Diego

OOps -- just reread your posts -- it's "Slim in Six"!

I just walked 31 minutes with the ankle/wrist weights and I'm as beat as when I did 45 -- before my 2 week "break" -- my bad!

Hi Paula

Thank you so much for the nice welcome and wonderful compliment, to boot!

Yep. Slim In Six is the program I'm using again right now and I can't remember if this is my 5th or 6th time through it in the last 3 1/2 yeras, but it's something like that. I always go back to that program and I always keep at least Ramp It Up (the 2nd video in the series of 3) in my video rotation.

We've got another challenge running on the ADBB for Slim In Six right now, actually. We're just getting it started. I've got 7 of the 36 workouts done now

When I started working out I had to do everything from home. The gym daycares wouldn't take my youngest and taking her outside at that time wasn't really an option either, so I had to turn to videos and whatnot. Walk Away The Pounds was my first purchase and a solid one at that! It helped me get comfortable with devoting the time every day to myself as well as build my stamina up enough to take on new things.

Slim In Six was my second purchase and let me tell you - I have an extensive video library, but Si6 is the one I come back to all the time. It whips my butt into shape like no other.

My Video Library

I spend an average of 45-60 minutes a day exercising. Almost never less than 45, but sometimes as much as 120 minutes a day (I take formal belly dancing classes too and do that on top of my normal workouts.) It's what works for me.

I love a lot of different programs, but for the next 5 weeks I'll be cursing out Miss Siebers. After that, there's talk of a Turbo Jam challenge among my Si6 Challenge buddies, but who knows?!!

If you have any questions about the workouts or anything for that matter, holler! I'm sort of an open book

Thank you so much, again, for the welcome Paula!

Have a great day!
~Brook

Well, you said to holler...

I have looked at several auctions on ebay of the slim in 6 dvd's...some come without and some come with 1 or more resistance bands. ??? How many resistance bands will I need? Are they available elsewhere if I buy the dvds alone?

Thx, Brook!

LOl gonwtwindo I sure did!

You'll only need one resistance band. Out of all the resistance bands I've ever purchased (and there've been a lot - LOL), the Beach Body ones are my favorites by far. They're available on the beachbody.com website and worth every penny!

HTHS
