Default Is your cycle Stable?

So this is really two questions.

Was your cycle stable before going LC?

Is your cycle stable now while doing LC?

By stable, I mean the same every month around the average 26-34 days long and predictable?

I had a very unstable cycle before LC.
I had horrid cramps and bleeding when I would bleed, and I often would not bleed for months even years.

I have a very stable cycle now.
I have almost no cramps, and have a very normal cycle now.

This all happened my first month on LC, and this is my 5 month.

I guess I never really thought about this until I saw this question posted.

I have actually ALWAYS had irregular cycles -- right from day one. They are also heavy and tend to be long 7-12 days.

I don't know how this tracks, but I started LC about a month after I stopped my BC. Initially I had 2 cycles (one after starting LC) and then since Thanksgiving nothing -- and I know for sure that I'm not pregnant.

About 2 weeks ago I decided to "take a break" from LC and have allowed significantly more carbs into my daily diet ---- although still much lower than in the past. Not sure if there is a connection, but I FINALLY got my cycle last Saturday and the flow is more normal than the last two.

Again, my history is confusing on its own, but it is funny that adding carbs back in coincided with starting.

I've almost always had a fairly stable cycle, except the first few cycles after pregnancy when I was still breastfeeding (and then my cycles stablized long before weaning.) I've also skipped the occasional cycle, the first time at age 18. Too much soy consumption makes my cycles longer and intensifies PMS. Cutting soy definitely makes me more regular.

Switching to low-carb eating didn't affect my cycles in any way. However, since cutting gluten out of my diet, there's been a HUGE change. My cycles are approxiomately 29 days instead of 34-39 days long. The bleeding is a LOT lighter than it used to be.
