Did any of you guys incorporate exercise? I just got off all my weight this summer-I am really not excited about the prospect of putting it back on.

Hello,


Today is my first day to quit smoking!!! I am wearing the patch . I have been on the atkins diet for one year now! I too am worried about gaining extra weight! The withdraws do not seem to be that bad!! I've been drinking plenty of water. Watching what I eat! After reading other sites. I've decided to start lifting weights . I walk 3miles 3 times a week. After reading the body for life book. I think If you lift weights 3x a week for 20 minutes you can gain muscle rather than fat!! Now I wouldn't be opposed to that!! Has anyone tried this?? Thanks

I do lift weights along with doing cardio. I do cardio 2-3 days a week and lift 2. I do upper body one day and lower another-although I prefer to do three days a week in lifting.

Congrats on the quitting smoking-I am hanging in there so far-2 weeks yesterday.
