Default Knickers!

Not being rude, this is a serious question.

I cycle a lot, and I don't know the best knickers to wear. If I wear cotton, they get soggy with sweat and feel disgusting. If I wear artificial ones designed for wicking, they feel dryer, but start to smell.

I generally wear my cycling clothes all day (or at least, all daylight hours) because I'm on and off the bike.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not really an option. I wear cycle leggings and shoes, so changing isn't easy. It's more how nasty I feel after cycling for an hour, rushing around when I get there, cycling another hour home, than having to do school run etc before I can even think about changing.

All right Miss Helen, I'm gonna say sumthin' here, and it may sound crass and totally inappropriate, but all y'all squeamish types, cover your eyes!

Get thyself to a salon and get thyself a wax "down there".

Either leave yourself a little landing strip, or strip it all buck naked like a 10 year old girl.

The reason the hair is there in the first place is to catch a woman's "natural scent" and make her "odiferous" to a mate. That is the ONLY REASON IT'S THERE.

Besides that, totally unnecessary.

Get rid of the hair and you'll get rid of the "not so fresh smell".

And no, I'm not talking about internal smell - that's normal (unless you have some sort of nasty infection) and there's no way around it. But I know what the "other" is that you speak of and the only way around it is to shave or wax all that nonsense off and wash up SUPER GOOD and DRY OFF OCD style afterwards BEFORE you go riding.

Trust me.

Julia

p.s. I'd keep with the cotton knickers though... more breathing room.

Oh-kay! That's something to think about. I'm sure DH would love it, not sure if I would!

Actually, it's not so much the smell, as the wet knickers. All of me sweats, but the wind dries out the bits that aren't sitting on a saddle.

Yeah, I hear ya, it's none too comfortable, but wear black and no one will see it... or a sweatshirt tied around your waist until you dry!

Of COURSE your husband will love it - sheet - you're going to have to get yourself a chastity belt to go along with that wax. HA!
