Default laura's fitness diary

so, since i have made the descision to start low-carbing and losing weight, i suppose i will need an exercise program too.
i beleive this sort of thing requires planning ahead of time. so, the purpose of this diary is for me to plan my workouts for the week and log my progress. today i didn't do too much. just 2 sets of pushups and dips and 3 sets of benchpresses and shoulder presses at 40. these is my workout plan for the rest of the week:

thursday: cardio- jog speed intervals around neighborhood twice

friday: lower body strength training- 15 minute DVD routine for abs and buns

saturday: cardio- jog speed intervals around neighborhood twice

well hopefully this won't be too much for me to stick to! ( i know its not, im still real young and i used to be in the military so i know i can get in shape, its just been so long since i even tried!) well, thats it for now.

Wow, i didn't actually think i was gonna be sore after that workout yesterday, but when i woke up i was! this is a good thing, i like the feeling of some muscle soreness the day after a work out. makes me feel good
So i did actually go on my run today, only i didn't do intervals and i jogged around my hood 3 times, which was about 20 mins of jogging for me. i actually felt great afterwards. but tomorrow i think im gonna do a major ab workout instead of lower body. then saturday ill jog again, and sunday i'll do the lower body workout. K, sounds good for now!!

my thighs were sore today.... and i did a bellydance workout for my abs and arms. I really do like a lot of the moves (it was a DVD) but i think i should alter the workout a bit to fit me, i didn't feel like i was doing certain moves enough. and i think i will also add pilates to my ab workouts from now on. (I have a pilates DVD too). tomorrow i will go for my run again, i just hope im not gonna be hurting to bad from muscle soreness (or hangover, ill be drinking tonight) but i think i will be just fine.
