We are not living in Haley Potter magic world, the law of energy conservation is still valid.
Next comes the interesting question, if we overeat in keto diet, where is the energy go?
If my memory serves me right, about one third overflow keto will be flushed out either through kidney and/or lung and/or even skin.
The question is why keto diet/low carb diet does not make glycogen and/or fat? I guess, that is the beauty of keto diet/low carb diet. Especially, recent research showed our diet does not hurt kidney which was anti-keto camp's major weapon.
Unless somehow overeaten keto diet forces some gene turning on/off, we have no knowledge of anything new yet(the more we know, the less we know.)
I do know when I eat a lot of meat, I can smell ketone(or whateve you want to call it) standing inside the bathroom.
