Default Just restarting today

Hello, my name is Lorraine,live in the beautiful mountains in Alberta.Today I am restarting my low carb diet as this is the best diet for me.I quit when I went on vacation in May,but it does not take long for the lbs to creep back on.
This looks like a great forum with lots of information.
I just need the support as I know the first week is the hardest.
Hoping to "meet" an d talk to others as I go.

Hi Lorraine, I'm in the same boat, quit smoking 3 months ago and gained back 15 pds. Today was my first day no cheats, so maybe we can start this journey together.

Hi dmarie328, hope it is not too hard on you at the beginning.
I had no problem yesterday,kept busy ,so I did not think of iit much.
Firiday I go for day surgery (D & C) so no eating for half a day.
After , I will have to start walking again.
Are you planning on some exercise?
Yes , it would be good to keep in touch.Thanks.

Lorraine if you "left click" on your eggs you will see it is related to how many posts you have made on the site. One more post by you and you will become a chicken leg!

I have a job where I never sit down for 8 hrs so I don't think I'll add much exercise. Second day no cheats, I think I can do this, I'm not going to weigh myself for 2 weeks, cause I get discouraged easy.

Welcome Lorraine! I know this is the only way I want to eat, it'll keep me healthy - my dad had diabetes, my mom had heart disease. I'm now 65, so far so good. I'm not thinking of a 'diet' and what I'll do after I lose the weight. It's just how I eat now and the more I eat this way, the better and easier it gets!

Thanks everyone for the welcome & the information.
Funny about the eggs & chicken leg etc.

I too love the low carb, I really cannot do counting calories & diabetes runs in my family,the doctor always checks my sugar & it is always good !☺
I started Monday July 22,142 lbs.Today Thursday 138.6 ☺
I do like to weigh almost every morning for encouragement.

Good to have the support here.

Unhappy How is everyone doing?

Had a few hard days.
Find it hard to bake for hubby & not have a taste (or more).

Have to keep exercise to minimum for 2 weeks because of D& C...

Going camping this weekend,will make stuff that I can warm up.

It's been a week, no cheats. I'm down 4 pds. I guess that's pretty good.

dmarie 329 ,that is great,keep up the good work,

I have not been doing so good,still hhas a few pieces of baguettes.I am having a hard time this time around.Have to go to the city for 5 days , that is no good for my eating plan.I will bring stuff in my cooler so not a total waste..
