Default Does Anyone Drink Wine?

I do, and have lost 10lb in five weeks but feel like I have lost loads of inches. Just wondered if anyone had experience/opinion on weight loss and a glass of vino or 3!

Yes I have drunk a glass or two during my three months of low carbing! I think it's unrealistic to cut absolutely everything out that I enjoy without a little reward. I don't eat crisps or popcorn anymore so a little tipple is fine with me.
I'm sure there are lots of people on here that will disagree with me but you asked!
Incidentally since cutting out the carbs I get very tipsy very quickly! (no crisps to soak it up!) so I'm not drinking nearly as much as I was.

I have been drinking a glass of wine with most evening meals - and sometimes two - and a bit more at weekends - and I've lost nearly 20 pounds in three months. I should really cut down but it hasn't prevented weight loss. I am pretty rigorous about everything else though. I don't snack and I cut out all obvious carbs except vegetables and the occasional waferthin rye cracker.
You have to have some pleasures in life!

Congrats on your weight loss!! I used to love enjoying wine, but I stopped it because it makes me stall horribly. I drink wine rarely now, and on occasion if I feel like imbibing a couple of drinks my body seems to handle silver rum much better.

When I'm LCing, I follow Prof Charles Clark's programme, and he does allow red wine, so I drink it sometimes.

I'm quite strict with myself about food, so I do like wine for a treat but definitely not every day. I've found that one glass with a meal causes no weight gain or stupid-thinking. Two glasses, er...still no problem, I think. Three glasses: hic, let's order another bottle, and surely a basket of bread won't hurt just this once, and let me see that dessert menu afterall, and....

I do well on it, when i stick to it.
I've fallen off the wagon again, but hope to get back on in the new year.
