Default Introducing myself

I didn't expect to be here yet, but in a quirky twist, my cardiologist has asked me to maintain for now and stop losing. If I want to go forward with losing 4-7 pounds more in the future, he's fine with that, but not for now.

I'm at the end of a 4 year journey to lose over 210 pounds - I've lost 216, and it has given me my life back.
I use a daily calorie limit as I needed to relearn portion control, and it has worked so well as a guide, I've kept doing it. I follow the principles of CALP (carbohydrate addict's lifespan program) for meal/snack composition, frequency of eating and length of time for meals.

I am determined to maintain, knowing that this may be an even harder portion of my journey, than losing the weight has been. I've been reading some of the stickied threads/articles, and will continue to do so. I appreciate that these resources are there, thank you to all who've set that up and contributed.

Hi Patricia,
I'm glad you posted here.
There is a very nice lady in the weighin (patience)who has also lost about 200 lbs. She is in northern Calif, so west coast too. Maybe send her a PM as she only comes here to post in the weighin.
She's been maintaining for a few years now and attends FA(Food Addicts )meetings.

hi Pat-
CONGRATS on all you have already accomplished! I have been a witness to your journey and am also a fellow CALPer.
You have inspired me to try lots of new recipes and foods- and to continue to post here for accountability and to pay it forward.
Looking forward to many years 'together'.
