Default Pcos Walk And Petition Together As One!

We are getting ready to start our planning and discussion on facebook for PCOS Lobbying and The PCOS Awareness walk, please feel free to join us... Here is an excerpt....

PCOS WALK AND PETITION TOGETHER AS ONE!

We have made some amazing strides recently with the PCOS petition reaching over 10,000 signatures!

However, the petition itself will not do much just sitting online, I am gaining signatures online as it is such a widespread issue and easier to get people to sign when it is online. Now that the petition has over 10,000 signatures I have enough backing to approach the appropriate legislators. It is not a scam to give personal information to businesses but, I realize nowadays you have to be weary.

As for promoting PCOS awareness in the media, that is ultimately what we want and something I have personally worked very hard for while working with PCOSA, PROJECT PCOS, PCOS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN and as an individual. However, without government recognition and backing, it is never going to become mainstream. You will occassionally see stories and hear of organizations doing things but the reserach, education and awareness will not advance much past the point it has.

I am hoping the planned PCOS Awareness Walk will be the stepping stone for more recognition and awareness but, we need to set the foundation to ensure this is not going to be a flash in the pan. Long term goals need to be set and legislation needs to help the PCOS community obtain them.

Please feel free to contact me with any ideas, questions or concerns you may have.

We will be sending invitations for our sounding board to discuss these upcoming ideas, please let me know if you would like to participate in this forum!

The forum will include cysters, doctors, nutritionists, life coaches, advocates and organization leaders.

You can add me on facebook http://www.facebook.com/jerzgal to get links and information to participate!!!!

Thanks,
Ash
