Default LOOKING FOR LOW CARB MENU IDEAS - RECIPES INCLUDED!!! - This Is The Place

This is Linda's low carb site which I had the pleasure of finding about 1 1/2 years ago. Fabulous LC ideas, menu ideas w/daily carb counts, nutritional counts, tips, etc., also other links to view. You'll love it. Let me know what you think about the site. Linda has poured countless hours and hours over the years to perfect her site. I am currently on PP, but this will work well with any low carb plan.

Default New to Low Carb Havent lost any weight in week and a half

Hi
138 pounds 5 feet 1 inch. Want to get to 107. Fasting blood sugar 104 Cholesterol etc fairly normal
I tried the South Beach diet a year back but lost only four pounds in more than a month. A week and a half ago I started Atkins in the hope that may be the stricter version might work but I havent lost any weight (just a pound) in almost two weeks. I think I may not be getting enough fat. I have a very hectic work schedule and it is hard for me to eat multiple times a day. Any ideas, suggestions, encouragement?
Also during the induction is it ok to eat bacon or mayonnaise with miniscule amounts of sugar in it as long as I keep track of the carbs?
Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to introduce myself too

A couple of pounds is not bad. Especially since you are just at the edge of what is ok for your height. I am 5 feet tall and 142. I know that I don't like the way I look at 138 lbs either that weight and would prefer to be about 120. (Consider the fact that I'm 47 and I've had two babies - to be 100 would be ideal, but I'm not holding my breath.)

To lose weight properly, you shouldn't lose it too fast. Make sure you are drinking enough water. That is another key. The slower the loss, the more likely you are to keep it off as well.

Supposedly 1- 2 lbs a week is a good rate.
