Hi Everyone! This is my first day on this site. Another forum I was on closed down so I looked around for a good place to go and found this one. I started Atkins on January 11 and have lost 14 pounds so far. It's less than I hoped, but this is my second time on Atkins (second and last!) so maybe the first time I wasted my "golden shot". Anyway, I slipped up a little yesterday and went to Popeye's for lunch so now I have to get back in ketosis. Hopefully it won't take too long. Glad to see so many others here...gotta go and check out the recipes now!

Hi All -- I've been lowcarbing since last July and my results depict the proverbial tortoise as I am hypothyroid. I am fiercely proud of the 20 lbs. I've shed however, I'd love for the next 20 lbs to be a bit faster. Any ideas out there?
hi found this forum and its so greaaaat that i spent almost entire night reading, browsing through and be inspired by all of you guys here. looking forward to read and share invaluable stuff on LCing. to all, good luck for your transformation wherever you are in the world!

Thanks for the warm welcome and for this informative LC forum. I'm new to the LC WOL and have already learned so much just by coming here and reading. So far, I've been doing Atkins for 3 1/2 weeks. Lost 5 lbs. within 1st 2 weeks then nothing. I (think) that I'm following "Dr. A's"
instructions pretty strictly but have had pale readings on keto strips the last few days and no color at all today. Going to Fitday.com & post my diet. Any help that you LC "veterans" can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
Hi, I started on Jan 7 and have lost 11 pounds, but
I just stuck there. I was expecting to lose more in that
amount of time. I keep track of my carbs so I know
that I don't eat too much, but I do drink low carb beer.
I do not exercise and thought maybe I should start to
get the losing process going. Is anyone else having
trouble losing?

Hello everyone!!! I just discovered this forum. I'm kinda a newbie seeing as I just started Atkins back in February, but I'm not a newbie to the plan. I've been on and off Atkins for two years and I never really had much luck, because I wasn't doing it whole heartedly. However, this time I am and I've dropped about 7 pounds in two weeks. Which isn't alot, but it's good enough for me. I'm also working out a lot more and I'm probably gaining muscle.
Thanks for all the information. I will check out those sites. I started Atkins almost two weeks ago. I have my mother and two friends also on the "way of life change" with me so it makes things a little easier. I wanted to read stories of others who have lost so this is great...Thanks again.
