Hi Neen. The other thing you need to do is delete the spaces between the [ img ] and the link.

I too can't seem to put pics on my sig. I also have a website at geocities and this is where I upload my pics. So I don't link to the sites where i get my gifs. But I get an x too. I had put a picture in a post a while back...and it worked. but I look back at that same post now...and the picture is gone and I have an x. Very frustrating.

Thanks,

The guidlines have been updated, to note the new changes.

Here's a copy of the announcement made:

Quote:
Dear members,

Huge signatures have been causing problems for many members with small monitors and low resolution. In the past we have posted some guidlines asking members to reduce the signature size to 320x100, but this did not resolve the problem, since many did not read or find the guidlines, and despite our best efforts, it was not practical to contact members individually to reduce their signature size.

The new change will do the following, it will place the signature in fixed-size rectangle. If the signature fits the size, it will be displayed as usual. If the signature is too large to fit into the rectangle, only a portion of the signature will appear, matching the size of the rectangle.

If you need help reducing the size of you signature, resizing the graphics, please drop by the Comments Box and Technical Questions forum, and many members will help you out on how to resize graphics.

Thanks for your cooperation, and for making it easier for all members to enjoy the forum.

Hi there. I don't quite understand the new guidelines as they apply to text. I have never had graphics in my signature, but now my text signature has been cut off. Is this meant to be? Is text also causing problems?

Yes, text can cause problems, if it spans too many lines. It will not effect browser like wide images do, but it will cause members to scroll a page to read too many lines of signature text.

To avoid trimming a text signature, make sure you don't use too many lines (even empty lines).

Hi Wa'il. Question: would it be possible to change the alignment of images in sigs? My image is only 115 pixels high, but the text is still cut off.
