In my area, avocados sold in bags of 5 or 6 tend to be small, so one whole fruit is a perfect serving. Never any waste

This is generally my method! Sometimes I will eat half and just put the other half in a baggie and eat it later. I just love those little Haas avocados and just try to select smaller ones

Default NET carbs in avocado?

Can't seem to get a straight answer if anyone knows it: Whats the breakdown on avocado? Carb? Fiber? NET carb? Thanks.

This is correct, according to Fitday. Again, as mentioned, they vary in size and it's not a bad idea to buy a digital scale and weigh. I got one for $10. I'm not far from Doreen and my avocados average only 80 g (less than 3 oz) of edible flesh.

Interesting- I would have thought the US and Canada all got our hass mostly from wherever they are grown in Mexico. But my avocados average 2.5 to 3oz per HALF (I also use scale to measure with skin, then just subtract weight of skin/pit).

I'm on an avo bender these days, eating half one per day for a few weeks. I just put half with pit in it in tight ziploc. There is only very mild discoloration by next day, which doesn't bother me at all.

I really am worried about what the avocado tax is going to mean for my current most favorite lunch!

https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/...manu=&fgcd=&ds=

subtract "Fiber, total dietary" from "Carbohydrate, by difference" at least that's what I do. So, edible flesh average about 2g NC per 100g. Too bad they don't agree with my stomach. Looks like they are a good source of fuel.
