This first ingredient is water, but special "triple filtered purified" water.
There are only a few real food type ingredients: vinegar, salt, garlic & onion powder, lemon juice, pepper, and - way down the list - parsley. Everything else is more or less artificial.

That's hilarious
With mostly vinegar and no oil, I can just imagine the artificial everything including sweetener to counteract the acid.
Wow, how can people eat stuff like that, all in the name of eating low-fat.

In the interest of advancing the cause of science, I had the zero-everything ranch dressing on my salad today.
I'm not sure what it tasted like, but it sure didn't taste like ranch. It was white, very thin, and slightly vinegary or lemony - not sure which. They really should change the name so people won't be disappointed.
I have another sample from Walden Farms that I need to try - a zero-everything chocolate syrup. I have a feeling it will be just as disappointing as the ranch dressing.
I remember all of the fat free fake foods back in the day when I did Weight Watchers. I don't know how I lived to tell about it with all the chemicals and sugar in everything.
That's pretty bad though if the flavor isn't even noticeable.
I guess they think they'll sell more if it's called ranch, at least one bottle anyway
Thank goodness you only had to withstand a sample!
