Hi,
I am sorry to report I didnot go to the meeting. I found the church and the joining buildings but I couldn't find the door to get in , only an iron gate. I waited to see if I could see someone go in to find the door and no one showed up. I am trying to find a phone number to get some more info.

Annie

I just found this thread.

Hmmmm...

I hate it when you all gang up and try to shatter my denial.

I've been low-carbing off and on (mostly off) for a couple of years. I've been lurking around here for a couple of weeks.

By the grace of God, I haven't had a drink since Sept. 17th, 1992.

I did however, eat a half a bag of chocolates tonight.... using the T.O.M. excuse... discovering and reading this thread about halfway through my binge.... feeling that uncomfortable sinking feeling when I read the post about making excuses, and retracting my admission of powerlessness....

Ouch. honesty hurts.

Awesome job on your sobriety!! what an inspiration!
I know what ya mean about the "carb" denial. I didnt slip off, I jumped off on thanksgiving day...sheeesh had a carb hangover to almost match some from my drinking career. I accepted it, forgave myself, and got right back at it. I am powerless over most stuff in my life (well except my attitude and sometime I think I am powerless over that hehehehe)
So glad you are here Lorirose!!
Much Serenity!

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to come over to tell on my thinking.

Last night was really really difficult and I felt like I was about to binge. I am familiar with that feeling and I was very close. It took effort to not do it. I wrote about it instead and went to bed. So I woke up with a fresh start and the feeling passed.

Just thought I'd share. Thanks.

Just wanted to check in! No weight loss for a few weeks, but I am feeling so much better. I seriously thought about cheating the other day, but then I thought about feeling full, and bloated, and heartburn, and the snoring , and said, HEK NO!!!!!!!! So................plugging along. Giving up drugs and alcohol was so much easier (I think), my sponsor says NO WAY, that I was such a trip when I first got sober. I guess I don;t truly remember how bad it was! LOL!! Anyway, have a great rest of the day everyone!
