OMG- Leeann- Love your trip story! I can see it how your write! I know Maggianos They have several here in Atlanta too! I DON"T eat there.
How sweet of the big guy to give you his coat! How awesome you got a chance to go down memory lane. Sometimes that is the best.
--------------------------------------------
I DID get out as you all can see by the pic's. taking a break in-between walking at least 3-4 miles today. The weather actually held for me. even though the weather channel may have shown rain- it wasn't here. It did a little in the morning- then stopped.

It has been gray- by no rain. The city is sparkling so it makes up for the lack of sun. And honestly with as much walking as I have put in today I am glad it was slightly cooler. I have had a incredible day so far! I have seen some amazing things.

Started out in a little antique shop and went from there. See pic's .
Came back to walk Bella- and feed her. Then had to find a grocery for dog food and hand soap. Got lost....... but it was really cool- didn't care. Eventually found my way back.

I am going to a place called ..... well its a toss between a place called Taost/ and a place called Eli's table. I will go from there to the JAZ bar 1/2 block down.
Misty and spitting rain- not downpour. Walkable for 1/2 block. Plan to come back about 10ish! Not too late.

I am having a ball! Not crying in my drinks I can tell you that!

Oh- the only thing I bought so far was a neckless I have had my eye one for awhile at Chico's. It is BEAUTIFUL BLING- OMG so pretty. BLUE- I will find the number so you can look it up! HAHAHAH
Originally 109.00- today 35.00- DONE. The only thing I bought.

Personals in am!
KMOM- any time you want pics- send me your email!

ON PLAN STAN!!!! AND FREKIN HAPPY ABOUT IT!!!!

Hi gals and pals.

Nic---So loved your travel diary! I was right there w/you vicariously. Seems like you packed a lot of fun stuff into a very short time---some good food, sight seeing, music AND a dear old pal. Doesn't get much better than that in a day and a half.

And that's not to even mention that trip to your old campus. Your beautiful description of that really resonated with me. Loved this idea---like having two of you there, the younger one and the older one---so poignant. I feel that way every time I visit my old campus too, in fact every time I visit my home town---increasing less often since my dad passed.

Glad you found a way to like the granola. Here's my new concept for a night when everyone else is having dessert at our house. The granola, plus whipped cream, sprinkled w/nestle's dark chocolate chips and roasted sliver almonds. I can sprinkle with 1/4 a cup of Nestle's dark chocolate chips---and I love dark chocolate---for 7 Ncs. Think I'd probably be happy with half that. Not an every day thing, but I think it might be a great LC dessert option.

Trigger---So glad you're getting out of Dodge the day after Xmas. Sometimes we just need to put a few miles on a road to somewhere else to feel our daily stresses melt away.

I am curious, though. Where do you go to "beach it" this time of year, and what do you mean by "cooler?" Ha, asks the gal from Minnesota. You've done this before. What do you guys do that's different on a "winter" beach vacation?
What do you like about it? Sorry for quiz, but I'm genuinely interested.

Jaz---Thanks for the pix! I loved seeing them. As I said to Nic, I'm living vicariously when it comes to travel right now, and like you, love the details. Charleston looks so beautiful. So fun to hear Trig and the pork chop honeymooned there.

And girl, you are such a pip!!!! Life let you down for a minute there and you packed up your dogger and headed out for a great experience. I can't think of money any better spent at this point in time for you.

Fun on the necklace! Bet it's out of its bag w/in seconds of returning to your room. Part of enjoying a treat like that is re-appreciating it and enjoying it.

K-mom---Thurs. water. 3/3

_______________________________________________________________

Well gals, I finally caught up w/all you early birds in Xmas shopping. 98% done, and all on line. Got great deals, free shipping and feel really good about all my choices---which I didn't always in the old days when shopping brick and mortar in a frazzle. Lack of sizes and choices, pure exhaustion sometimes just running all over the place to find the right thing. Sometimes settled for less than I wanted to for the money. Don't have that experience on line. Although it does take time, and some experience in knowing how to make it work best.

I love to shop in the real world, but not at Xmas, except for a few little things and that's fun.

On plan. Had a bit of left over edamame spaghetti and shrimp for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet. Hubby won't be home till later, all up to me, and all I know right now is that it will be low carb.

We have a couple of events next week, one in particular, that I know will be an off plan night. Hoping to stay on plan till then.

Haven't put a foot on the scale since it showed me 4 pounds down. Who wants to erase that moment?! I can feel in my clothing that I have not totally sustained that, but not by a lot.

Truth is, I AM maintaining, if at a higher weight than I wished, but yet at a MUCH LOWER weight than I use to be.

Good Morning!

5AM and I'm up and ready for "the day of me". No work(don't have to fill in for the other girl..YAY), nothing I don't want to do! I do have a few errands to run later, but I'm going to spend a good part of the day under my warm blanket with a hot cup of coffee in my hand. It is 25 degrees here this morning.....brrrrr.

Another girl is gone at work. She came in at Noon yesterday, worked a couple hours and then I looked over at her register and she was gone. I had seen a manager at her register and the next time I looked, she was not there and the manager was waiting on people. About an hour later, she came out from the back office, escorted by another manager and out the door she went. I asked what was happening and was told that she doesn't work here any longer. I don't know what it was all about, but the last thing we need is another worker gone. Sigh....... They asked me if I wanted to take on any more hours. I said and emphatic "NO!" I already have more than I want. They just cannot seem to hire and retain good workers....it is so odd to me.

Jaz...hope you're having a nice time. I love Charleston. We did an awesome "Ghost Walk" there a few years ago.

Well, I'm ready for another cup of coffee and to just snuggle in here. I heard from DH last night. They got to Iowa yesterday afternoon after a 12 hour drive. I'm sure they will be up early and raring to go today.

Later!

I just hate it when I lose a much thought out post- to each of you! URGHHHHHH

So I will redo tomorrow- evening when I make it home. That right now is an issue for me. Atlanta is getting snow storm.
I went to go to the beach today but the bridges were washed out All these little low to the ground cars were turning around. It was up t windows. I have never in my life seen that in person. I pulled over to see what people were doing- the SUVs were going through it- the small cars were turning. I turned. It was swirling and you could not see bottom- hell no.

So I didn't make it to the beach today as the bridges are now closed. Glad I didn't go because I would not have been able to get back here at the hotel for Bella. I would have been a mess. But I turned.

I walked until I could anymore the wind picked up to 35 miles an hour. I am now cozy in my hotel- warm, safe and going no where. I have been everywhereI wanted to go. Except the beach- but I am glad I didn't

So got really hungry- decided to stop for some soup- LC soup- no noodles- just broth and chicken. In this little Thai shop. So I am sitting there eating for my soup- and this dud maybe 65ish..... started digging in the trash bin right outside the window.
So dam disturbing. So I said to the gal that worked there- hey does this happen alot- yes she sayes- people are so hungry they just look for food outta the trash.
Raining here like mad today, cold, and windy 35 mile winds. So this guy huddles in an building abandon across the street. Is isn't faking- I watch him for a good ten min- he is just cold, alone and and hungry.

So yes I order him a bunch of dam food and hot soup, and water. I take this big bag over to him. He starts to cry- I just say bless you and walk away- dam it was so sad. I am not saying this like how dam kind I am. But he looked like a vet. Trust me I can smell them a mile away.
If he was we are doing such a disservice to him- being on the streets. He sorta got to me. He wasn't a faker. I watched him a minute. It just mades me mad- I guess we are the richest dam country and we have guys huddling in the cold and rain with no food huddled a doorway for shelter. There he will sleep I am sure.

Ok- it is horrible weather now- yesterday was beautiful- today not so much. I have to drive back tomorrow. Heard there is 5 inches of SNOW where I live. Oh dear goodness.....

Short post-
I will tell you about the guys I met at the piano bar last night in next post! WINKWINK

Hi all,

Jazz---loved your latest batch of pix! Where was that xmas town w/train? Also, thinking that "Picasso" would have to be authenticated at that price. Pretty damn cheap for something w/his sig. Loved the pix though.

Your story about the man digging thru trash for dinner just squeezes the heck out of my heart. And it was very kind of you to buy him a dinner. There was a story recently about a homeless man who loaned a young gal 20 bucks for gas. She turned around and set up a go fund me page for him that earned thousands and thousands of dollars for him. I think of that famous line delivered by the character of Blanche Dubois in "Streetcar Named Desire:" "I depend on the kindness of strangers."

I often carry 20 bucks worth of dollar bills in my purse to give out to those poor souls who stand at freeway exits. Some people say to me "they'll just spend it on booze" or, whatever. Might be true of some, but not all who need food in their stomachs. And I figure if you're so needful you will stand outside with a sign in freezing weather, humiliating yourself as car after car ignores you, then it's up to them what they do with the money I give. When I hand it over, it's no longer mine, and I'm not the judge of their lives. No middle man charity to slice off the funds. Just me to person in need.

And every single time I have done this, which has been MANY times, I have been looked in the eye and thanked and God blessed with such humility it just sears the soul.

On to a lighter note---girl, you in a piano bar would be something wonderful to see. I just know it.

Lori---Which is why you want to be careful if they ever offer you a MGR. job. Yeah, it comes w/more money, but imo, not enough to make it worth it, as when someone doesn't show up, MGRS get stuck w/the hours and doing whatever they have to. And Dick's isn't the only place that has trouble keeping part time employees. Without any benefits and wages that leave something to be desired if you have to live on them, many retailers have a very high turn over. When I had my store, we learned to pay more than we wanted to, but got the best most dependable employees that way. Worth every dime.

K-mom: Friday water, 3/3. Just OK, but at least I'm back on track w/that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Must confess. This afternoon I caved and made a small plate of nachos. It was like I was on robot switch. Had such a strong craving, just walked into the kitchen and did it. Good news is I did count the carbs, which were about 30, give or take. It really was a small plate of them and that did the trick. In the old days I could do a huge plate of them and go back for more.

So in total today I'll be around 38 carbs. Higher than I'd like obviously, but not in the disaster zone. The one thing I liked was that I thought, "If you're going to do this Blue, do it small, and get it out of your system. Which I can't usually do w/carbs. So Bad w/a bit of good.

Good Morning!

Not much happening here. Had a good night's sleep and now I'm enjoying some coffee before heading to the job. I'm ready to get out among the living after sitting here alone most of the day. Yes....I'm missing the hubby. Funny how I look forward to some alone time, but it doesn't take long for me to want him back home. He called me yesterday, but the cell phone service where they are is not great and we didn't talk long as I only could hear about every other word. Enough to learn that the place is amazing and they are eating like Kings! DSon will start hunting today.

Next Thursday I'm going to travel to my sister's for 4 days. She was going to come here, but she's afraid we may have some snow, plus our house, and in particular our spare bedroom is very chilly. I don't want her in there when it's in the teens outside. That's the problem with an old house...no central heating in all the rooms. I have an electric blanket on the spare room bed, but it's chilly when you crawl out of bed. She just got a new car and doesn't want to drive far if snow is in the forecast. It is a Subaru 4 wheel drive, but she wants to get used to it before driving in less than perfect conditions. I understand and worry about her driving up here anyway. As I think I've told you, she is 75 and doing great, but the worry is in the back of my mind. I'd rather do the driving to get to her. Plus, there is so much more to do where she lives. She is just an hour from Philadelphia, so more choices of shopping and eating. 2 things that I shouldn't be doing!!

Enjoy your Saturday. I'll check in tonight when my day is done.

((Hugs))

Nicco, so cool reading about your trip being a memory lane trip Very bad to vacation in a place that has over the top delish food HA HA, but too bad your hubby got the rock biscuit gut after Great post to read, sounds like you had a blast!!

Jaz, very nice to help someone who sure looked like they needed help. You are a nice person You know, alot of shelters in that area where people can get help but they won't go there. I don't know why, miriade of reasons prbably, but sometimes they want just on the street etc. But so kind of you Sounds like your trip was a blast also!!

We got 2 inches of snow. Nasty here. ruining everything we got planned for sleepover with kids and tonights drive to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens for holiday light festival....but hopefully roads will be ok. Just bleck with the icy now out there. Sucks to the ultimate. It is supposed to snow til like 12 today, lighter tho but it doesn't help. I am SO OVER winter already HAHA

Yea my bday was the 7th. 56 and it is now time to count backward. SO surprised I am marching toward 60? what is up with that I don't count or 'do bdays' anymore. Hubby got me flowers and a liner thing for the back of the new SUV. Which is good, needed it. He got an ice cream cake (midget one) for kiddo cause she loves them. I didn't eat any. She devoured the thing mostly lol

Lori, yea if roads are bad and more best to delay your trip. I would be like her, why drive in icky bad weather when ya can wait a bit and drive safer. I hear ya on that. Hope DH has a great hunt! I wouldn't take on more hrs either.....hey I say your Dick's CEO on tv. Lady CEO. I thought of you when I saw that commercial

Blue I envy you can portion control. I can't. Never will be able. You are in your zone and are doing well. I can't remember the last time I had nachos but I know they are darn good HA --I am searching for crab legs on sale but none are happening. 11.99/lb --on sale for like 4.99/5.99 price and they just aren't doing this sale anymore...lowest I have seen is like 8.99/9.99 on some days and OW on that ya know. I need alot of them and I am seeing ALL this stuff around me and I WANT MY DARN crab desperately. UGH. My meat guy Rick says the lowest price should be around New Years eve sale time and he thinks they will be like 6.99/7.99 on sale....so whatever price they are I am gonna grab a stinking ton of them for the freezer. I am crabless now. BOO! I depend on those as 'my go to delish treat' when I am feeling 'deprived' with all the crap around me. I hope I get my hands on some soon.

I think I will go out to eat next week at this fish fry place they love cause it makes a crab dip that is to die for. comes with this over the top delish bread but will throw that and eat the dip with my cold peel eat shrimp. I have to get a fix very soon on that crab taste. I am kinda getting desperate So we chat nachos and I go onto crab like crazy HA HA---thing is my desperation fix taste that makes me smile is so darn expensive. I can see why people eat so many carbs, they are super cheap LOL

Cooler beach trip is my same summer hot beach but SC still gets super cold in winter. Not a warm area like FL or such. Hubby will surf fish still, I will metal detect and hike with dog, kiddo just runs around doing a bit of everything with us. taking bikes this trip so her and I can ride the campground (this is a biggie, Myrtle Beach Travel Park so we got some good bike ride area there) and it has indoor pool for kiddo and me to swim, and we do No one is ever in the pool so we have the place to ourselves mostly on these winter trips. BUT THE wind on the beach etc is COLD. Then we have the Broadway at the Beach for new years fireworks and festivites we are attending....so we should be ok. but beach and a friggin' coat don't go hand and hand with me but I need to get the heck away for a scenery change before I flip my lid.

Hey all
so the 2 inches of icy snow out there is horrible. won't rant too much on it but ya know how I feel here

around 12 going to get kiddo's friend
friend up the road will come down
off around 4 for fast food stop to eat for kid's before we go to the holiday light festival. closes at 9 (which seems early to me, huh) and home for their sleepover. So my day is a kid day.

everyone have a fab sat!

Jaz, sounds like your trip is going well- a day to explore and a day to hunker down and be cozy. Kind of a nice combo. So glad you had a day to wander as Charleston is excellent for that!

Very kind of you to send food over the man across the street. Kindness is never a mistake. I'm sure he appreciated it a great deal.

I do know that Atlanta and the surrounding Metro area got snow. My Mom sent a pic from Fayetteville where she is staying with a friend and there was some snow there, maybe 3 inches? But friends in Kennesaw for example got HAMMERED and a tree limb fell on their son's car and totaled it. Sounds pretty bad out there. Be careful if you do head back today, or just hold off a day.

Trig, your kid day actually sounds very nice. I hope you can have it all unfold as you are planning and the weather doesn't interfere.

The winter beach trip is definitely a different animal than a summer beach trip but it still sounds nice. And a getaway is a getaway!

Lori, makes total sense for you to just head out in the direction of Philly and the weather is likely to be more agreeable also. Lucky sis with a new Subaru! I hear NOTHING but good things about those cars and wouldn't mind having one. I do like the height of the SUVs though. That's the only thing I would hate to give up.

Blue- Glad you got so much shopping done. Yay you! And I am joining you on the confessional bench- I had a margarita and mexican food last night when DD and Fi came over to out to dinner at the place across the street and asked us to join. It was good but I sure did have some heartburn last night!

•••••••••••

Snowfall happening outside right now and man is it pretty to look at. It was supposed to happen during the night but came late- started right around when I got up (and I did sleep late today for sure.. 8:30AM! What?!?!) and should go for a few hours. Only expecting a couple of inches today though. Last year we literally only got 2-3 inches of snow all year so it is nice to have a winter again this year.

Tonight is DH's firm Xmas party. For once it sounds fun and not stuffy- it is an ugly sweater party, we can wear jeans, there are games etc. SO much nicer than being all formal! I can deal with this. I'm assuming it will go forth as planned. DS's first winter training for baseball already got canceled for today.

Not too much else to report- Ravens and Steelers play in a showdown tomorrow night. Steelers are doing WAY better than the Ravens this year so I expect a beat down, sadly. But you never know. Every now and again the Ravens really show up to play and when they do, they can be really good. Unfortunately that is the exception rather than the rule.

Enjoy your day today! I will be spending the day geeking out on Universal Orlando trip research. I really should be a travel agent.

Good late afternoon- today was a travel day- took me 6 hours! Got hung up getting into Alt. Believe it or not ALL the snow is GONE!!!!
45 degrees here- 8 inches gone! Best kind of SNOW!

Leeann- I was wondering if you were getting snow!
I love football too! But I am a Collage Ohio State fan! GO Buck! Not a big Steelars fan/ or Cowboys for that matter. They have a kind of ignorance about them! I love to see the under dogs win! So I always root for that team!
How much fun that you go to an ugly sweater party! Can't wait for details!!!!!!

Blue- I hear ya on the Nachos' I like trig- would not stop at a small plate. On carbs like that- it's over! Good for you- in all seriousness if you can do that- awesome!
What do you have on your holiday play list?
What is happening on your work play list?
Are you ok?

KMOM- I take it this is the weekend with the SD! I think anyway! Are you still feeling good?
Water 3/5 today!

Lori- Oh my dear- I would advise against more hours. There is this thing called burn out! Maybe if this was a career for you but it isn't. Spare money and something to do. I hope you don't let them take advantage of you. They will too until you back them up with the word NO.
Cool that you are going to your sister's. Tons to do there. I bet you like the change of scenery.

Trig- Love you get to your beloved beach even in the cold. A change of scenery is such pick me up! HAHAHAAH Coat and all!
So you are still getting fast food for the kiddo's. Does the smell knock you out?
And for GOODNESS SAKE- get some CRAB LEGS!!!!! I find that when I get a real craving like that I just have to have it! Period. Otherwise I could binge on something else- JUST because I wanted something and didn't get it.
It's not like you get them everyday!
--------------------------------------------------------
I am wiped out from a fun fill and exhausting trip. I start getting antsy after about 4 hours in a car. It took me 6 hours to get home due to some traffic!

I too am going to sit on the time out bench of food of shame! - not a hog wilder as it was a take out contained. But I have NOTHING in my fridge- and had a car to unpack- and just flat tired.
Picked ups chicken sandwich and fries. It as not that good- fries cold, and sandwich -I felt guilty. But will get back on on horse and LC back. Carbs make me feel really lousy. I can't wait to get back into my routine- could use a few days off from work - funny ya ned a day from vary. But I will take tomorrow.

I could take a nap- but it is that odd time between afternoon and night- it is too late. I will stay awake until 930 and hope for 8-9 or so hours to night.

My carbs feel like a brick and icky- urghhhhhhh. I didn't have alot of preplanning
Carbs feel icky crappy- bloaty- ugh......Thinking about just eggs and bacon ora small pork road tomorrow- simple and ZERO! Need KETO for a minute- got knocked out. You know I can tell by the smell of my urine believe it or not. It has a different carb smell- I kid you not! I know TMI- but back in the day- doctors used to smell pee to tell if someone had to much ketones/ or sugar- it spills

Good Morning!

Up stupid early as usual. I'm going to need a nap before heading to work this afternoon at 3. I think I'll stop at Moe's and get some sort of "bowl" with lettuce, chicken, guac etc to have for my dinner break tonight. It'll give me somethng to look forward to during my long night at work. I'm closing tonight which means it will be about midnight when I head for home.

I talked to DH last night and he and our son are having a great time in Iowa. He said this place is something else. They have a chef from New Zealand and the food is fabulous. I guess there are about a dozen of them staying at this "lodge". It's not the typical hunting lodge from what I'm gathering. I think DH is seeing how the other half lives! Oh well....he and the son will be talking about it for the rest of their lives, I'm sure.

Jaz...glad you made it home...even though it was a marathon trip. I have several friends from Atlanta who were so excited about the snow. All we've had here is a few flakes so far this winter. I'm not complaining. I really wouldn't care if I never saw another snowflake! I hope you enjoy your Sunday of regrouping before another work week.

Nic...hope you had fun at the ugly sweater party.....sounds like a good time!

Blue...sometimes there will be people standing at the corners in the shopping complex where Dick's holding signs asking for money. I always wonder what brought them to that place in their lives. So many people are 1 paycheck away from being on the street. So sad.

Trig....hope the weather didn't ruin all your plans today. I hate it when the weather forces me to change my plans! Ugh!

KMom...hope you're doing well. Have you still been doing a bit of treadmilling?

Well, the cat is down for her nap and I'm wide awake after 2 cups of coffee. She gets me up, has her breakfast, goes out for a few minutes and then comes in and conks out. Ahh.....the life of a cat!

Enjoy your Sunday!

wow closing til midnight, tough part time job there
WOW bet your DH is loving this hunt trip! I know my hubby would!

HEY ALL
quickie right now
morning will start jumping here in a bit

wonderful light show.
the displays were stunning and a gazillion lights.
kids had a great time, they took the giant horse carriage ride. June and George were the horses, big black draft horses.
The band was fab, just 3, a great lady singer, a drummer and a guitarist. All Christmas songs and they did a great job!
The orchid conservatory, wow, just wow on those orchids. Just flowers that had the most stunning colors and variations.

so yes it was fab.

off to restaurant after, I wanted crab legs. They were out. Can you belive that?!!! Then I wanted the crab dip and a side of peel eat shrimp....no crab dip! I settled on a ribeye steak. So I paid big money for a steak I could buy and eat cheaper at home! It irked me HA HA but we had a great time. I darn near said who cares and order whatever I wanted as a treat but I caught myself fast on that one. Yea no crab so find an excuse to eat anything and everything LOL, yea I didn't go there tho!

I am holiday'd out. Done for the season. That was enough for me now.

Kids sleeping and later will drive Emily home and day will be over and done. rest of day doing mostly nothing.

great day all

Lori- Yea- how the "other half lives' is FAR different from how at least I live. But I am glad the "boys" are having a grad time!
You are working 3 to midnight- OMG!!!! I would think a nap too but you are not an early bird napper!

My Bella have almost the same schedule as Miss Kitty. She DOES however let me SLEEP!!!!
But After we get up- she goes outside to do "business" then is waiting for me beside her bowel. Waiting for the magic to happen! She gets one tablespoon of pure pumpkin in her food. I get it just a bit wet too.
Then we play for about 30 minutes- then she sleeps a good hour or more.
It gives me time to have my coffee and come here to confessional!!!!
When does your hubby come back?

Blue- I can see you tooling around with a few bucks for those less fortunate. Just One I would love to see a dude with a cardboard sign that sayes - HARD TIMES NEED BEER- I swear I would buy whatever they wanted.
But in seriousness we should not have to ever see that as we do have resources in this country. But everybody has a story- I am certainly no judge.

I heard you about the Nacho's. You, Me and Leeann- need to reboot! In our own way of course- but I know for me I am up a few pounds from my little Charleston juant. Thai food gets me bloated everytime- but OMG it was good.

I want to re-creat the same dish- LC style. So I think the ingredient that will pull it together is fresh basil, and sesame oil. Both are ZERO carbs for the same type of taste. I will keep ya posted.

What does your week look like Blue?

KMOM- I am taking your light writing as busy with the SD! I hope you are having a great week-end.
I am doing ok with water// not great- I will start fresh tomorrow.

TRIG- How was the light festival with the kids! You really are such a great mom! It's those memories that last forever. Something as simple as a night out with the kids! YAY for you.
I know the snow really bothers you- me too! Hate cold. But as long as the sun is out I am good!
So what do you eat when the kids are eating fast food. I know you are in a REALLY REALLY great place right now with food. Annoying you said that you even have to bother with it. Do you cook for the family?
Hoping you get some sun today!

Leeann- Are you caught up yet from being out a few days? Back to your routine. As much as I love travels- nothing like coming home to MY BED!!!!! I love my bed!
How was your party- we need ALL the sweater details. What fun to see all these guys that mostly wear very nice clothes, professional all week loses up for ugly sweaters.
What did you wear? DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------
I am totally reboot my butt back. Ya know for ME it doesn't take much for me to totally ballon up with just a few slips. And that is what happened. The salt and carbs- I will leave it at that. But I am back and home and planning for my weekly menu.

I am doing a small pork tenderloin tonight- and making grilled chicken I can just have in the fridge. Also making tuna salad for lunches. I have some hard boiled eggs I will make deviled eggs with and some candy to stash in the fridge( Bacon) -
REBOOT with high quality- ZERO carb stuff!

I have some school stuff to fill out and get started on. Other that that, it's a home, laundry day and maybe some Netflix later when I catch up. It's in the low 30's here and frekin COLD! Great day to turn on the oven and hang in after being gone for 4 days.

I will save the piano bar story- but I can tell you, it was a awesome evening! I am so glad I treated myself to a Christmas in Charleston! I felt sorta guilty about spending that much- but what the heck. Not like I do that all the time.

I hope you all have a GREAT day- and lets all get back on board. That banana peel can put us (not you TRIG)- in a very different place we don't wanna be! I am of course speaking to ME!

Ok - stay warm!

Jaz....not sure when DH will be home. As soon as DSon gets a deer, they will head home. Could be today, tomorrow or as late as Thursday. All contingent on the hunt. I hope they head home by Monday. I leave Thursday for my sister's.

I just got my schedule for week after next and it looks good. 3 days of 11AM-7PM and one day of 1PM-9PM. I could work that every week. No early mornings or late nights....perfect!

Whenever I start thinking that I want to quit the part time gig, I think of the newest scheme I'm cooking up. Remember the group of ladies from all over the world that I got together with in NYC in August? Well....we're planning a get together in Scotland in May! All this has just come up in the last few days and it's still up in the air. I would like to travel over to England and take the train to Scotland with my friend who lives over there. She said she may decide to drive too. We'll see how it all works out. There is talk of doing a race while were over there. I guess there are 5k & half marathon options. I'll be run/walking the 5k with some of the group most likely. Guess I'd better get my butt back to training! Exciting, right? I love having something to look forward to.

Later!

Lori- that trip sounds awesome. And a great thing to save money up for and to work toward goals wise. Yay!

Jaz- I too am so glad that you went to Charleston and treated yourself that way. You work hard and don't treat yourself to much, and you have been saving and paying off your debt really well also.

Any further update on Ava? Is she still doing well?

Trig- your trip with the kids sounds wonderful with the lights, music and such. Glad it all worked out, well except for the food. You were definitely stymied with the food!

KMom- I hope you are doing well and busy with SD this weekend or something.

Blue- Hope you are doing well also! xoxo

••••••••••••

It has been a wonderfully lazy weekend and I have been loving it. Yesterday was a snow day- snowed pretty much from 8:30 AM until around 7 PM. Not super heavy just light and steady. I think we got about 3 inches of snow, but just on surfaces and not much on the roads. That allowed us to still attend the Xmas party last night. I don't love these firm parties, they are all right.. it is hard to feel comfortable with people that I meet only fleetingly one evening a year.. but this year being so casual was a nice change. We bowled and then had a meal. I also had two rum and diet cokes, which is HIGHLY unusual for me. Man, with the margarita Friday and the drinks Saturday I have been living it up this weekend.

DH and I won the Ugly Sweater contest. I ordered us a set of shirts off of Etsy- they make one complete picture when we are side by side and they both light up. They are silly. lol

That's about it from here- loving a second lazy day and then a football game tonight between arch rivals for however long I can stay awake.
