Default Day 7

Hi Mama S! Ha, we are on 3 very different paths here... but it's all good!

I lost my entire post...
No off plan foods yesterday - I forgot my snack and got hungry at work...a coworker offered her bag of Cheeze-its to me. She was leaving for home so I just waited til she left and put it back in her cubby. Cheeze-its are serious temptations for me but I didn't want to eat them. ** ok A margarita tonight - that is off plan. Otherwise it was easy to navigate a Mexican restaurant...I had my Carnitas Nachos without chips or beans and the guac didn't taste good to me so that solved the no avocado problem. I did have olives on my nachos, those are not OP.

Today's happy thing was - I slept IN. Really slept in. Ended up taking a muscle relaxer last night (which I never do) and a T3.. knee is giving me a lof of grief) and slept til 9 which is unheard of for me. I am always up early with the dogs and a million things to do...to be able to fall back asleep and not worry about the dogs was divine.

Default Day 8

Busy day - worked all day and cooked all evening... really the only thing that comes to mind is I woke up to a thunderstorm (rare and wonderful here) so I got up and opened the blinds to be able to see it as I was doing my morning routine...

Only off plan thing was a glass of vino...
Trying to walk lightly on the gimpy knee today, being mindful of pushing big carts of books and how my leg/knee turns or twists as I am weaving in and out of areas and people...

Well, it wasn't OP but it made me happy - Just sitting down when I got home with a glass of white. I did not sleep well last night although I did enjoy the thunderstorm going on all night...and a particularly busy hectic day at work - so just sitting, catching up on this site and my cuppa is making me happy right now.

Off plan - some M&Ms got me. I need to get my head in the game here...the little slide gets bigger...

August 14 Monday 45 minute walking video. Sweated. Supposed to be three miles but my fit bit only shows 2.6 -- probably because I did upper arm exercises at the same time which are a bit slower. Still got the heart rate up several times.

No sitting done yesterday. Listened to this talk a few times. Interesting. One of my favorite teachers, Bhante Punnaji - this was seems to be older because he's talking faster than he does now - he's slowing down physically, like we will do or are doing, right now, all of us that have been born anyway...

I went out this AM (all covered up of course) - to admire the now many blooms on the cactus... it was after 9 and I've never seen them start to close up - I took pix and took the time to upload them. Those cactus flowers are so beautiful! The cactus is now loaded with buds...**edit - Tinypic site is down...I attempted Google Images but it doesn't seem to give me options to copy the URL to post the pic in my J... I'll have to post them later.

Off plan: Starbucks lite frappe. I'm being sloppy... My thoughts were: I am getting Starbucks this AM! I need something. My life is sideways. Etc, etc,...and I did realize I was justifying wanting something off plan. I also realized that as long as I am not gaining - just maintaining the present weight - that it's ok to be off plan...**edit - I wasn't clear here. My thinking goes "it's ok to be off plan if I am not gaining - " but really it isn't because I have 60 lb to lose...** I have 60 lbs to lose...I am not in maintenance mode. I even looked at Dreamfields Pasta this morning when shopping because I miss pasta so much - but the carb count on it is as high as regular pasta - ! which isn't going to help me at all, so I skipped it.

It's evening here, I've already posted here today, but I enjoyed popping back to read what you are both doing: loving the cactus and considering that maintenance is better than gaining , and listening to Bhante Punnaji. With you, see you, dear ones!

Hi Mama S! I had to edit - I meant that my brain thinks its ok as long as I am not gaining, but really - it isn't.
Thud, I'm impressed with the sitting - it isn't something I can do well but people do it. but it is something many people do.

My happy thing really happened last night - I set up my sewing machine and hemmed two pair of jeans that were getting raggy on the bottoms because they were too long. I've been wanting to get to them forever, since I wear them the most right now... so it made me very happy. This AM I dug out of the garage my mending bags - lots of clothes to mend - I didn't get to them but it still made me glad to get that out and here and there I'll work on them. It's a "before I pack/move" project.

J got home late and I just got home - he went out to get us burgers and onion rings... I will be honest - the last time he was here and did this I did manage to not eat the bun... I did eat the onion rings and those are extremely difficult to resist. I do not know what I am going to do with them.
I am going to try to not eat them. It is very hard to stay on plan after a tough day! I will also not have a beer with J...
Kat

I am not OP. Possibly a little freaked about upcoming new job - working 65 1/2 hours a week, being sleep deprived, etc... and not being mindful even though I am typing about it daily.

Today's thing that made me happy was - someone asked me out - ! It's a shocker because this NEVER happens. I gave a new co-worker a ride to his 2nd job this AM from the new job orientation and he disclosed enough about himself for me to know that I would not be interested plus a million other reasons I am not on the market right now... the point here is that someone asked. And that does make me happy.
