Thanks! You're the best November is a tricky month! Hopefully I don't stumble and fall into turkey gravy, yams, and mac and cheese. You might have to give me life support.

Looking forward to seeing my doctor on the 9th. I don't know what it will do but there has got to be something wrong with my metabolism or thyroid... but I really don't know.

Keep on keeping on!

Hope everyone has a happy, candy-free Halloween!

Sorry about being MIA for the past several days. Been tied up dealing with my Dad's health issues. At 86, he takes a bit hand-holding when he isn't feeling totally up to par. He was ALWAYS there for me when I was a kid so I don't mind, but sometimes I do run out of time to do other things...like cooking, cleaning and like posting on this forum.

~Stew, I have to ask, why the frownie face on your post yesterday? Are you seriously unhappy that you didn't meet your (IMHO, totally unrealistic) goal of dropping 20 pounds over the course of the month??? Most people on this forum - or on ANY diet for that matter - would be ECSTATIC over the 11 pound loss you did achieve! Maybe if you had a couple of hundred pounds to lose, losing 20 in a month would be doable. But at your weight, dropping 11 pounds is 4% of your TOTAL weight and more than 15% of the excess weight you had on Oct 1. That's AMAZING PROGRESS! The quickest way to self-sabotage your WOE is to set unrealistic goals and then beat yourself up when your body won't (can't) meet those goals. When we feel like a WOE isn't working, that's when we give up on it. So please my friend, no more frownie faces when you've LOST weight. Even if it isn't disappearing quite as fast you might like.

~Toddy, we will miss you. Come back anytime...or just pop in now and then and let us know how things are going. You fought long and hard and to get down to ONEDERLAND and "stick the landing" and I'm rooting for you to continue on down but understand that sometimes one needs a break from daily weighing and posting. We'll be here when you're ready to come back.

WTG to all those that posted their weight each day this month! I hope you find it as helpful as I did. The last month I stepped on the scale once a week on Mondays and recorded it. It felt odd for the first week but I think I'm use to it now. I'll continue to do this for a few months. I'll also continue to watch all of you progress on this thread.

Have a good November!
