Default Hello Everyone

I have been off and on with the low carb diet for a few years. I would have some success and then go right back to a high carb diet. Well a few weeks ago my doctor told me that I was pre-diabetic. I have to get serious about a life style change will help reverse this diagnosis.

Default Hello!

Hi all, under advisement of my doctor, I started LCHF diet about the 3rd week of January. I am married, have three children (all grown) and three grandchildren. I currently am retired caring for one of my grandchildren 6 months old. I have struggled with up and down weight and felt it was time to stop the cycle. I live in Colorado, originally from upstate New York.

Welcome to both hotdog and Sassy,
You have found a great forum with years of information, tips, recipes, etc.
There are many forums to ask questions, including one on diabetes and the VLC diets to Reverse that. http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=45
Join a Buddy group or Challenge, start a Journal, whatever support helps you stay on track. Cleaning out the junk food is a good first step, the grandkids don't need it either.
All the best,
