WTG Naomi, thats great you are getting back into the swing of things.

Susan, sorry to hear you aren't allowed to do much right now. Good Luck with all the tests, and if they find something maybe it can be fixed fast and easy.

I'm a bit under the weather today and am hoping to get the treadmill done for at least 20 minutes. But will have to see how I feel a little later in the day.

Glad I found this thread.I need some support to help me stay accountable concerning my daily exercise.I have been slack about doing my cardio since it has been a rather warm summer and our house isn't air conditioned.

I do strength training 3 days a week on Mondays.Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays,Thursdays and Saturdays I do cardio.Wanted to join y'all today since I needed the extra push to get my exercise bike riding done today.I've been doing my strength training OK but need the push now to do my 30 minutes of cardio.

I'll check back in later this week with the good news that I finally rode my stationary bike for 30 minutes.

I meant to say that I will check in later today.

I take care of my 10 month old granddaughter during the day so I was in a rush while typing.

Better get back to her.

I managed to get in 30 minutes of cardio today.I was hoping to be able to ride my stationary bike for 30 minutes but it was a struggle since I hadn't ridden it in quite sometime.I managed to ride it for 15 minutes and I walked for 20 minutes.

I need to work back up to riding my stationary bike for 30 minutes. Before this warm summer I was riding it for 30 minutes a day without any problems so I know I can work back up to it.

Tomorrow is my strength training day and I know that won't be a problem.

Didn't get any time on the treadmill yesterday.

But 30 minutes done today.
We are camping this weekend, so I'm hoping to do some walking.

This makes three days in a row for me now since I got back to doing my daily exercising.

I've continued to get my daily exercise in.I see that I last posted on Friday and no one else has posted since then.Hope that means that everyone is having a busy holiday weekend.

Friday and today I did 45 minutes of strength training.Saturday and Sunday I rode my stationary bike.Wish I could say that I rode it for 30 minutes each day but I can't.It has been a struggle to continue on my bike for more than 10 minutes at a time.So yesterday and Saturday I rode it in two 10 minute increments.I usually take Sundays off and don't do any of my exercising but since I am getting back into it I wanted to keep up the momentum I am gaining on my stationary bike.

Hope to hear how others are doing.

Welcome Chloesue, glad to have you join us.
Pete, glad to see you back with it!!
plumtired, hope you are still hanging in there.
Susan, I know you were camping too, hope you had a great weekend.

Just a quick check in before I head off to the treadmill.

Camping was great, the quiet time for us was wonderful.
Fri we just set up camp and didn't do much as it was 4hr drive there.
Sat we rode our mortorcycles all day.
Sun we hiked the trails. We did part of several very rugged trails. So not sure how many miles we did but hiked 3hrs and it was very rugged up and down over bolders and trees, thru stream beds. Think it was about 4-5 miles.
Mon we packed everything up and drove home.

So back to the treadmill for me. Check in later to let you known how I did. I also have to mow the grass today, so that's another hour of walking. More if I have to bag the grass so I'm hoping I can just mow and not bag.

Yesterday I was able to continue riding my stationary bike for 15 minutes which was up by 5 minutes.

Today I did my strength training which took me 30 minutes.I decreased my reps some since I read that you should do 8-12 reps and anything over that really doesn't benefit you at all.So I took the even road and now do 10 reps of each set

Hey Aubie glad to see your post here. Great job getting back at it.
I did 20 minutes on the treadmill. But have to clean out the barn, and mow the grass today too. So heading out side to get it all started.

On Tuesday, I went up to the YMCA thinking I was going to get a really good workout by swimming some laps in the olympic sized pool. I was only able to do 6 laps and that darn near killed me!! I probably could have done a few more, but I felt my quads about to cramp up on me, so I got out. Tonight I am planning on working the elliptical machine and doing my pushups and abs that I have started doing every other day. Hitting the weights again tomorrow night.
