I am aged 28.My cholestrol test shows the following result
cholestrol 196 mg/dl
Hdl cholestrol 23 mg/dl
Ldl Cholestrol 118mg/dl
vldl cholestrol 55mg/dl
Triglycerides 274mg/dl
My blood pressure is around 130/85.Whether pressure has increased due to this cholestrol.Previously i had not got any problem.Further is my HDL cholestrol ok.or otherwise i have to increase that.If so tell the way to increase hdl cholestrol.I had no smoking habbit anything.Previously i Had got smoking habbit for 5 years. But as soon as i checked the cholestrol I had dropped that habit entirely.
I'm no expert, but if experience is any guide, a good low-carb diet will bring down your tri's and raise your HDL. Don't skimp on the olive oil. Eating cholesterol, such as egg yolks, should make your body cut back on its production. That's good!
Your ldl/hdl ratio is a bit high should 4 or less, the triglycerides are pretty high, you want them under 100. The good news is that low carbing raises hdl and lowers triglycerides. This was shown in the Duke study released in July among other studies. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen a study where low carb didn't give that result.
